LSU CB Morris Claiborne is the Next Shutdown CB in the NFL
I've been watching this guy play and wow. He's going to be a great player in the NFL. He just has shutdown ability, ball skills, overall great player. His play reminds me of Darell Revis in so many ways.
He's going to be a lock to go in the top 10, in my opinon, when all is said and done.

I agree, he is probably the best corner prospect in the nation currently. Such a physical tackler, aggressive and has great speed as well.

Hell they could do a 3peat with Mathieu next year. I would like to know what's in the Bayou

The 5'8" Mathieu won't be the first corner taken. I like him a ton, but no one is going to invest a top 10 pick in a really undersized guy.

kiper has claiborne really high and climbing fast on his board. i think he frees up a lot of guys on lsu's defense to make plays. as we saw today, the loss of mathieu didn't slow lsu down much. i think claiborne would have been a harder loss to overcome

He "technically" does not have to be the #1 CB off the board, but he could be #1 leading up to the draft which PP & Claiborne have done thus far.

I believe so. I think Claiborne has smoother hips and is a lot better in man coverage than Kirkpatrick.

As a CB? Definately. Peterson is a pure athlete and honestly, he needs to move to Safety, which I think he can be an all pro at.
But back to Claiborn. He's got pure shut down ability. Smooth hips, great speed, quick feet, and great ball skills, and is physical as well.

So, 1 game makes up for his entire career and him getting compelted 21/28 280+ yards and a few scores earlier on?

Peterson is a rookie CB. A lot of people are going to feel really stupid in a few years.
