At this point, you'd think analyzing San Fran's practices could be a detriment to a team...

seriously, just load the box up and force the niners to throw.

also, if it's a run play, follow the pulling guard.

I'm a defensive genius

Why don't the Broncos just fire this guy? got rid of Cutler and Marshall for Thomas and Tebow. Just stupid.

I really dont see how McDaniels keeps his job after this season. Unless the Broncos finish very strong these last weeks.

Basically he is blaming all this on Scarnecchia. Letting the low guy on the totem pole take the fall. Way to show leadership there coach. Throw in the fact that he is really bad at evaluating talent, oh and also that the Broncos are 3-7. Yeah I just dont see it.

Because Marshall is so great... He's a play when he wants to kind of guy and often didn't want to. Just ask Miami. The Cutler deal is probably the best thing that happened in Denver. Cutler is a risk taker, which isn't what works in offenses anymore. McDaniels wanted a less risky QB to run a "don't turn the ball over" offense. He got a guy who is playing great (Orton) and two firsts, and a 3rd. That trade is a borderline steal. The Bears were left talent depleted because of that trade and some injuries.

The rest of the moves have been bat-**** insane, though. (Well, trading Alphonso Smith might have been a good idea... but investing a 1st rounder into him was a terrible idea)

Trading for two firsts isn't worth anything if we got nothing out of the deal. What'd it turn into? Cutler and Johnny Knox for Orton, Ayers and Tebow/Thomas(its hard to peg that 2nd first based on the trading we did)? Also Cutler is still better than Orton. Orton's a good QB but Cutler is a lot better. Let's be real here. Cutler led the 2nd best yardage offense in the NFL the year before McD got here. Plus, Cutler just has a way of giving your team a chance to win. Countless times he drove down the field late in a game and at least gave us a chance to win. When the clock is winding down in the 4th quarter and you need a TD, the only difference between an INT and an incompletion is on the stat sheet.

And Marshall? The dude was a machine in Denver. 100 catches three straight years. Sounds like he wanted to play A LOT.

Scarnecchia filmed the drills of his own accord, later offering to show the video to McDaniels. But the coach declined, the Broncos said.

Does anyone doubt that Bowlen threw Scarnecchia under the bus to save himself some $, & maybe McDaniels job?

Throwing out the baby with the bathwater, they lost the game anyway to a very bad 9ers team that had lost the previous wk. in Carolina giving the Panthers their only win. I find it strangely ironic payback that the Broncos were seeking to avoid public humiliation (& a deserved $1M fine, taping is taping even if it's only Andy Lee punting in practice) here by blaming the lowliest of assts. after they maximized the public humiliation heaped on Cutler with that front pg. published letter from Bowlen about his reaction to the Chicago trade.

I used to actually admire Bowlen b/c he kept his hands off team personnel decisions, now he's gotten his fingers burned a yr later after the poop hit the fan on his trading his star QB. He has been revealed to be just as manipulative & greedy as Jerry Jones or his nemesis Al Davis

Quote:
Jay Glazer of FOX reports that McDaniels met with his staff on Friday to explain the circumstances surrounding Spygate II, which supposedly arose from the one-time-only videotaping of a 49ers’ walk-through practice by a rogue video operator, Steve Scarnecchia. And McDaniels distinguished the situation from the original Spygate, which arose apparently from years of videotaping of in-game defensive coaching signals.

“That was practiced, that was coached, that was worked on,” McDaniels said in reference to the Patriots’ past practices, per Glazer.

McDaniels also warned his staff to keep their mouths shut. “If this gets out, there are jobs on the line,” McDaniels told the staff, per Glazer.

So why did it get out? It possibly had something to do with the fact that, after the 59-14 loss to the Raiders, McDaniels took the staff to owner Pat Bowlen and lambasted them, according to Glazer.

Glazer also reports that there are “raised eyebrows” in the facility, based on the perception that McDaniels threw Scarnecchia under the bus. Which implies that there’s a belief within the organization that, while McDaniels and Scarnecchia didn’t get their stories together after the fact, they possibly got their stories together before the fact.

Indeed, the sense remains that, even though McDaniels claims he didn’t watch the tape and that Scarnecchia acted alone, Scarnecchia was the Dawson and/or Downey in this situation, and McDaniels ordered the Code Red. (Hat tip to FNIA producer Joe Gesue for that one.)

Well, the Broncos cheated the salary cap during those SB years, so Elway gets an asterisk anyways. ;)

It makes me feel better ok haha. And I think I'm the only Pats fan who commented and clearly I understand the difference.
