First of all, is that an attempt at a joke?
Second, don't talk about religion on these threads.

Umm.. really? I didn't know people's girlfriends wanted to **** virgins. "Wow, he's hot. I'd really like to rock his world for 10 to 20 seconds until he blows his wad over my still clothed legs and apologizes profusely and starts praying for forgiveness for his horrible sin."

You seriously think the fact that he's a virgin is a turn-off to most women? Apparently your gf has a Tim Tebow poster on her bedroom wall...idk how else you could be that much in denial.

many women don't like virgins not because they're icky, but because they have no-stamina and suck in bed because of it. Plus they don't know what they're doing when they go down on her to make up for the ****** stamina the way someone who's just coming off of a drought can...

I've never hated Tebow, like as a person.

I've doubted his pro prospects, questioned the drafting of him in the first round...but to hate the guy, that's just weird.

You guys are trying to put a common guy and a celebrity together in the same category, which throws it out the window. Girls will desire a guy who's *** if he's a celebrity, so him being a virgin probably doesn't weigh that much in their mind. The big thing is screwing a guy who's famous and by all means is a good looking guy, not having an orgasm.

Just a really stupid argument, by both sides (directed at Jake Locker and Sportsfan mostly, not as much you Rosebud). He's not really a sex symbol, so that's not why he's disliked. And him being a virgin isn't a deterrent to women, as long as he's famous.

There's some greater purpose for that picture. I just can't decide what it is yet.

The problem I have with Tebow is that too many people allowed their personal opinions of him as a person influence their opinions of him as a football player.

He had absolutely no business being drafted before round 4 at earliest, especially in that loaded draft class, but we allowed our perception of him to influence his stock.

And he did a great job of minipulating the masses with his personality. I personally like him as a person, but i did not think much of him at all as a football player, and it's an example of how we allow our personal likes/dislikes influence our perception of people in the workplace/job interview.

Let's be real, if Tebow was a black muslim, or a chinese buddhist, but still did all the great things he's done, he'd have no chance of being a 1st round pick, and people wouldn't be slobbering all over his knob the way they have.

It's controversial to say that, but it's the truth.

Agree with BBD. There is really nothing to dislike about him. He was maybe the greatest college player we ever saw, and he's perfect in the role he's being used. Back up QB who can run some trick plays like Vick last year. However he had no business being picked on the first day of the draft. He is not a NFL QB. Neither is Cam Newton or Jake Locker.

Meh... I still hate him, maybe even more than before the draft. I think my hate for Teblow sorta has a life of its own...

I think Tim was a definite reach the way we traded up for him, but I can see the logic of taking him in the 1st. Basically, we put all of our marbles on his incredible work ethic turning him into an NFL QB. He has excellent mobility and the will to be the best. I actually do believe that if he fails as a QB, he'll be a solid player at another position just because he won't quit. But I really do think he can turn into a solid QB. Will he? I don't know, but I think he can.

As for the last part of the post, to be honest, you're probably right. We can't talk religion here, but yeah if he were as devout a Muslim as he is a Christian, people would have been afraid of that, unfortunately.

Also, I coulda sworn DG told me in IRC that he heard Tebow banged every chick at his high school. I dunno if it's true that he's a virgin, but if it is, Tebow has the patience and will power of a freaking saint, especially if we follow SWDC's proud tradition of basing a QB's future success on the hotness of women he is photographed with.

That sounds like the best idea in SWDC history. Do it njx. Do it.

Not hating on him as much since he's no longer godlike in college FB, still don't think the Broncos are giving him his shot though.

Draft a QB #1, then let him play effin' QB! He seems to be their red zone run it in for 6 wildcat designated specialist QB. Again I say let him take snaps under center, call some plays, air it out to receivers, wtf not?

I agree 100%. This season is a total failure right now, it's time to give Tebow a shot on a few drives to see if he's made any progress whatsoever. They had to have been giving him dropback reps in practice, and if they haven't, well then McD needs to be fired even more.

From what I've read, McD doesn't want to play Tebow this year. If he plays him, and he sucks, McD is going to be fired. If he doesn't play him, he can play the "well next year I'll start Tim" card, and buy another year.

Coaches on the hot seat have pulled that **** before.

That's what I hate. There's a good chance that at the draft, we'll be in position to take Locker or Mallett or Newton, and I want the FO to at least be in a position where they have the information to decide on what to do. QB obviously isn't our problem, but if Tebow has made ZERO progress this whole year, I think they need to look long and hard at one of those guys. Orton isn't part of the problem, but it's clear he isn't part of the solution either.

People say Tebow needs 3 years to develop into anything, but people said the same thing about Vince Young. And while Vince wasn't great as a rookie, he was good FOR a rookie, and helped them win some games. I'm not expecting Tebow to do that well, but to at least go out a couple times a game and not look totally lost.

I was gonna make a lengthy thread/post about this.

With all the rules changes and how easy it is to be a quarterback in this league anymore, coupled with the fast-track starts recently (Roethlisberger, VY, Ryan, Flacco, Bradford, and even McCoy), I think the timetable for developing quarterbacks needs to be adjusted accordingly. It's easier than ever before to play QB in this league, and there's really no reason at all for it to take three years for a guy to be ready to see the field.

I agree you can develop quicker these days, but Tebow was WAY behind a lot of these guys when it came to developing in college. Tebow basically needed to be broken down and started from scratch. And we still don't know how far thats come because he only plays in gadget plays.
