What does it matter what the average is? You don't get to do it 8 times and then divide.

Ok, 2 out of 9, huge difference. Gamecast didn't show the first play for whatever reason.

And on top of that only 1 run, the toss, would not have netted the 2 point conversion as well

True, they don't get to do it 8 times. But of the 9 times they ran the ball on the drive (not 8 times), 7 would have been long enough to get the two-point conversion.

It's a lot different to get 3+ yards from the 3 yard line than from the middle of the field. There's a reason teams don't run the ball frequently when going for two.

Stanzi's a better player. From what I've seen that is. Wouldn't take him before the 3rd though.

Dude Wisconsin was still getting 3-4 yards when they stacked the box. TCU couldnt stop the power run all game. POWER RUN. Not tosses or sweeps but power running was netting huge gains. I dont think they lost yards on a power run all game.

It's not the same. Take a breath and think about it for a second.
The end zone is 10 yards deep, add three yards and that's all they have to cover. There is NO concern for a deep pass, long run, etc. Even if TCU was playing all 11 of their players 10 yards off the ball, at least some of them are going to have deep assignment on every single play, which means that their first movement isn't going to be looking forward. There's no concern for that when you're on the goal-line. That's why teams are more inclined to pass. Context matters.

You are factoring that in too much. Fact is, when lined up and the ball is pounded, TCU could not stop Wisconsin. Hell the RB was usually 2 yards deep before he got hit.
If your QB was Tolzien and you had Clay, Ball, White, Carimi and Moffitt how do you NOT run the ball?

The B1G conference pooped down their leg today. Thankfully there is the Big12.

I'll give you some context. Wisconsin just dominated TCU with the run on that drive. Wisconsin's pass game and pass protection has sucked the entire game. Taking all that into context, the chances were much better they get it by running than by passing.

Frazer is terrible. Won't be much of a game tonight IMO. Rooting for UConn, but they don't have much of a chance.

Listen if TCU was playing any1 else, I would be estatic they won cuz I am a Badger fan. Um, yeah, I don't know why the hell we didn't run on the 2-pointer, Clay shoulda been used more IMO, bad clock management, and the two bad timeouts they had to throw away. So, uh great for TCU, hope this helps expose the tramashamockery the BCS is and if we don't get a playoff system, we should at least get a plus-1 game or something.

Since everyone seems so concerned about the average run gain on that drive, it's worth pointing out that the one pass they attempted gained more than the run average. So using that logic, the pass was more effective than the run on that drive.

YOU brought up the drive. We were speaking about the entire game.
If you are so dead set on throwing run the PA and roll out.
