What a game. What an ending. The defense stepped up HUGE today as well as the special teams. Hopefully we can get all phases rolling in Philly next week.

Cutler going 98 yards without throwing an interception is a tall order. Beautiful defense all game.

Pros:
Playoffs.
Defense looked DOMINANT.
Special teams played well (wtf?!)
Cons:
Offense. Awful. What?
Rodgers had his worst game of his last 7 starts.
WRs need to learn that their job is to CATCH THE FOOTBALL.
Bulaga is borderline benchable after this game.
Playcalling was atrocious at times.
We're off to play the Eagles. Michael. *******. Vick. After that it'd be a rematch at the Falcons. Tough, tough road to the 'bowl.

it's funny how bears fans make these excuses of how they "won" the game, how in any way did you get a W when you put your rivals into the playoffs and if things fall in place for both teams, you have to face.
oh how would i love to see this Packers team eliminate the Bears, just for fun, so here's to hoping both teams make it to the NFC Divisional game.

Well it wasn't pretty, but it's a win and it gets us in the playoffs. Really it was just our offense failing to capitalize. Our defense was great and surprisingly so were our special teams. Hell, even Rodgers didn't have that bad of a game. Overall we could have done a lot better on offense though.
I don't think there's much to be concerned about even though it was ugly. The Bears are our rival and it's almost always a tough game against them even in years when they're terrible. They weren't fully motivated, but their starters did play every single snap and they were trying to win the game. It's not like we were in a battle against Todd Collins and the rest of their scrubs. Admittedly, I was expecting it to be a lot easier than it was, but I'm not exactly surprised that they put up a fight.

gameball to freakin Masthay. Dude was ridiculous today. Why can't we get ST performacne like that week in and week out.
How about 5th string OLB Erik Walden? Dude was all over the place today. Dom Capers realy gets the best out of whoever he has out there on D. The D overall was amazing, as usual. Talk about these 2 units putting the offense on their back and carrying them today while that part of the game struggled
oh ya, Bishop with over 100 tackles on the season! I don't want to talk about the offseason yet, but for some reason Bish/Hawk really have played well together this season, and I think the team might be better with them at the starting ILB spots over a Nick Barnett/Brandon Chillar combo. I wonder what they do for next season?

Since he first got significantly playing time this year in the New England game I thought he should be starting over Zombo. He has been the guy the past three since Zombo's been hurt, but I hope he keeps that spot even if Zombo is good to go.

Hawk doesn't even look like the same player this year. I thought it was all but certain he would be cut to avoid the $10 million salary next year, but I'm not so sure anymore.
Bishop I want signed long term. He's the physical LB that we need on the inside. He'll knock the RB backwards instead of letting him get that extra yard. He was very good in his first year starting and with a full season I think he could be a pro bowl quality player.
Barnett is underrated on here. Like Ryan Grant, he doesn't get the respect he deserves among Packer fans. He played very well last year when no one thought he could fit the 3-4. When healthy, he's still the best linebacker on the team.
Next year I want Barnett and Bishop as our starters. I might still keep Hawk around for his last year though. Chillar was never supposed to be a starter. He's a coverage specialist and good backup that will be useful no matter who the starters are. Being able to sub him in for Hawk or Bishop on passing downs would be huge right now.
Also I'd be kind of curious to see Bishop tried at OLB. Run some packages of Bishop-Barnett-Hawk-Matthews. If it works well leave him there as the full time starter and Hawk in the middle.

I know they started to run that more with Chillar when we lost Poppinga and Jones. Walden doesn't look half bad though and Zombo was filling in nicely as well.

It would have to be in the NFC Championship game. If we beat Philly we are playing Atlanta in the divisional round because we are the lowest ranked seed no matter what.
