Lets just hope it stays that way this time. lol
I also hope Brandon has already found a new coach or is close to getting one.

I do feel bad for Rich Rodriguez the man, but not the coach. Yeah some problems were that he was not embraced by the Michigan family, BUT the first 2 years, Rod didn't really try to embrace the Michigan culture either.
He was just in way over his head as was his staff.
David Brandon now has to find the right coach for the job

I just saw that too over on the scout boards. Haha well at least he is telling us how he really feels now.

Wow. That's really harsh. I never liked the guy at WVU let alone at UM.
I just hope that his replacement continues to ignore the defensive side of the ball.

I was going to say as a Buckeye fan you must not be happy with this move.

Michigan just has to decide on an identity and stick with it. If they change offenses and defenses and trust the coaching staff, stick with it for a bit. I'll gladly take continued turnover at Michigan as an Ohio State alum, but it is just a mess to keep making complete 180s every few years.

As nice as it is to have a proverbial bye week at the end of the season, it's not all that much fun to batter a corpse.
For the sake of the rivalry and the Big Ten, Michigan needs to be a good team. Beating Michigan in the #1 v. #2 game was one of the best ever.
Besides, with a new coach likely to be changing the direction of the team completely, it's probably gonna be more of a question if Michigan can prevent the streak from going to 10 in a row :)

Agreed. The B1G needs a few more teams to step up to the plate. The rivalry has taken a big hit since UM has been so pathetic the past 3 years.

The guy left his alma mater where he was already a legend to go elsewhere. He was absolutely loved here and that's why so many people threw such a fit when he left. I didn't really have a problem with him leaving like everyone else did but I don't really feel bad for him now that he has failed either.

what do you guys think happens to him now though? a couple years ago at wvu he was considered one of the hottest coaching prospects around after leading them to some great seasons, does he get a job at a school that already runs some version of his offense that he can tweak to make his own, or does some other school take a flier on him and hope that he can actually make something out of a program like he did at west virginia?

Fired twice in two days.
More impressive than getting fired at orientation (it happens)

I think he's best off as an OC at a major program for a year or two before trying to reestablish himself as an HC.

I've celebrated so hard that I've pooped my pants. Does that count?
I think we see him at a Big East school like Pitt. Maybe UConn, but I don't think he meshes well with Edsal's ethics, character, and team composition. But UConn and RichRod both may be desperate.
Then, again, he may take some time off. He does have oodles of money now.

I'd be celebrating this if I were a Michigan fan. I didn't like the signing to begin with as I didn't think Rich Rod fit that Michigan persona. I have a feeling that Brady Hoke will be their next HC.

Has anyone heard the rumor/story that before Bo died he told Les Miles he would never coach at Michigan? The word on the recruiting trail a few years ago was that Les was telling recruits that Lloyd had parkinsons and that was reason he was retiring. Any truth to this at all?
