How was his accuracy and his footwork? Those are 2 big concerns for me.
It was hard to judge to be honest. He held the ball for a while on a few of the checkdowns. Who knows if the coverage was tight or he is still adjusting to the offense. I don't even remember the incompletion. I think it was his first throw.
The best thing Eli did all night was kill a pass play at the line and check into a run off left tackle that turned into a decent gain.
I kind of wonder if they go into those first drives with things they want to specifically work on. And when that wasn't going so great, came back out for the third drive and said handle this like you would a real game. Check to a run if they are going to give it to you.

I mean...like I said I would love for it to happen if money wasn't an issue. But it was. You don't pay a NT that money when you already have one who's just as good that's a cheaper option. Playing 2 NTs at once is a situational package that's not worth investing a lot of money into.
That sucks for Wilson. But realistically, we have had zero return on investment now on Chad Jones and Wilson. Factor in bad drafting and you can't do much as a franchise when you keep swinging and missing..
