The demo didn't impress me any more than NCAA 11 did, other than the zone coverage. Feels like the exact same game. I can't even begin to state the staleness of the commentary of the game. It really does detract from what would otherwise be very crisp presentation.

Yeah, the roster names arent a problem anymore, if you're connected to Live or PSN. You can find fully named rosters. No one here really plays with the default "numbers only" names. We dont even start online dynasties until the named rosters are set. So it's all good there.
As for the graphics...I think the grass/field turf looks absoultely awful this year. Maybe it's because I'm playing on a 1080p tv, but the field surface looks like a blurry, low res mess. Dont know what is going on there. Even the videos georgiafan posted, show the grass looking like crap. I cant be the only one that sees this. haha. The game is still bound to be top notch, however. I cant wait for it.

The commentary is pretty bland. I wasn't expecting anything else though, to be honest with you. It's probably never going to be anything special in any sports game, but it's nice to have at the very least.

NCAA 2004.
It's sad because that's one of the things I used to look forward to with NCAA Football. The commentary actually was a huge positive for the game. It usually detracts from games (e.g. the Madden crew recently).

I really think I enjoyed the game more after I played the demo a few more times. I play it on a 21.5 inch 1080p monitor which I play other games on as well (PC ones). I definitely think things look low resolution and they shouldn't at that size. I kind of fear what it would look like on a big screen TV.
The collision system is both very cool and very weird. It doesn't seem to factor secondary hits quite the way it should. If a second hit occurs, the first hit (if it is still in progress) seems to be ignored and the motion is entirely dictated by the second hit.
Say a LB tries to tackle a RB and a S comes in for a kill shot, it's almost as if the linebacker lets go of the player. It doesn't happen often but something weird happens when they try to resolve multiple collisions.

Football games still haven't figured out how to handle multiple collisions. Probably has a lot to do with EA having a monopoly on the sport for gaming.

The multiple collisions I saw seemed to work well (especially compared to last year).

Teambuilder is supposed to "officially" drop tomorrow, and I'm really hoping there's atleast a few new templates. Doubtful though.

I'm still hoping for real time physics at some point. It would probably take a few years to shake out the kinks with such a big change, but canned animations need to die sometime soon.

Yea I went ahead and created a a red dead redemption team yesterday and I didn't see anything new. I know they are suppose to be a few small things like stadium and jerseys but I didn't see any.
Yea the demo is from april so the retail version will be a month later build plus they have tuner patches that should be ready day 1.
I was disapointed with grass also it looked bad on non cut scenes

Is there anywhere to find either a video or list on a website of all of the rosters? I'd like to see the ratings of UCF and some guys from my area who signed with non-BCS schools.

So who's running the online dynasty? We should probably start figuring out all the rules and details.

What kind of offenses and defenses are we planning on running? I'm probably going Single Back with a 3-4 base on D, despite how hard it is to play/recruit for it.

Remember with custom playbooks you can create 15 diffrent playbooks for both offense and defense. I'm not sure why would would need that many for defense since they are alot less formations. I'm gonna create one for option, balance run, passing, unique formations etc.
I run a pro style power running offense

As for playbook, I plan on making an effective spread. Many of the running plays that are generally in the shotgun formations are worthless, but if I can create the playbook I can fill it with HB Zone, Power, etc.. Plays that work out of the shotgun. Then also sprinkle in some sweeps and draws for variance.
Hopefully the zone read will be able to be ran effectively as well.
Then again, I say this but I generally go with a pro-set. I'm pretty good (24-2 and top 30 in '10 before I stopped, something similar in '11) and almost always rely exclusively on...
1.) Defense
2.) The running game
3.) The deep ball/ playaction
Tends to piss of the guys who play fake:)
