Baltimore Ravens:

1. Peter Konz*, C, Wisconsin - With Birk getting long in the tooth, the Ravens upgrade their interior line.
2. Kheeston Randall, DE, Texas - A guy that can help strengthen the Dline opposite Ngata.
3. Russell Shepard*, WR, LSU - Will help Torrey Smith spread defenses out even further.
4. Janzen Jackson*, FS, Miami - They need a guy that can replace Reed. Jackson sure has the potential.
5. Ryan Lindley, QB, San Diego St - Anyone they had behind Joe Flacco is either worthless or a free agent.
6. Casey Hayward, CB, Vanderbilt - More depth to help out an improving secondary.
7. Markus Zusevics, OT, Iowa - Ravens could use some depth at OT.

Cincinnati Bengals:

1. Dre Kirkpatrick*, CB, Alabama – With the possible loss of Joseph in free agency, DK is the pick.
2. Marcus Forston*, DT, Miami – Cincy needs some serious help against the run. Forston will help.
3. Travis Lewis, OLB, Oklahoma – Johnson could be upgraded on the left side of the defense.
4. Chase Thomas*, DE, Stanford – Odom & Geathers is fine, but they have nothing behind them. Depth is needed
5. Isaiah Pead, RB, Cincinnati – The Bengals select a hometown kid to add some homerun ability to their backfield.
6. D’Anton Lynn, CB/FS, Penn St – Could use his size to his advantage as a free safety in the AFCN.
7. John Brantley, QB, Florida – With Palmer gone, even Andy Dalton will need a backup. Is the other Palmer going to do it?

Cleveland Browns:

1. Jonathan Martin*, OT, Stanford – Joe Thomas is elite, but Pashos could be upgraded on the right. BPA.
2. Mohamed Sanu*, WR, Rutgers – Another Cribbs like athlete on the roster couldn’t hurt, but Sanu is actually a great receiver as well.
3. Brandon Boykin, CB/KR, Georgia – A blazing fast corner with great return ability. Could be paired with Haden for a dynamic duo.
4. Trevor Guyton, DE, California – The Browns still need to build up the defense line. Sheard was a great addition, now the other side must be addressed.
5. Dan Herron, RB, Ohio St – Take a chance from a homegrown boy in the mid-rounds. He has slips a bit down most teams but the Browns aren’t fooled.
6. Emmanuel Acho, DE, Texas – Having already addressed the line and secondary, its time to take a falling star in Acho. Can play both inside and outside in a 43 front.
7. Matt Daniels, SS, Duke – Speedy, hard hitting, good sized, Daniels would be a great addition to the depth at safety.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

1. Robert Lester*, FS, Alabama – Steelers could use some additional playmaking ability in the secondary.
2. Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin – The revolving door at guard must stop. Zeitler could be a force in the running game.
3. Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas – With Ward slowly gimping closer to retirement, his successor must be found. Needs to stay healthy.
4. Tank Carder, ILB, TCU – A classic thumper with athleticism to pair with Timmons. Continuing the trend of sub 100 yard games.
5. Tom Compton, OT, South Dakota – A dancing bull in the mold of Joe Thomas. Will need to be coached up.
6. Antonio Allen, SS, South Carolina – 10.5 TFL? This big time hitter is a tackling machine that plays all over the field.
7. Asa Jackson, CB, Cal Poly – The late round hunt for quality depth at corner continues. A project for sure, this speedy defender totaled 39 tackles, 2 INTs, 9 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

Hmmm...Me thinks I went too defense heavy on Cincy. Maybe swap first round picks with the Brownies?

Janzen Jackson would be a steal in the 4th. I don't think Russell Shepard is that great of a prospect and Kheeston Randall is definitely not a 2nd rounder at this point. He'd have to have a hell of a season. A pro scout who was at UT recently said he's a late rounder at best. Switch Randall for another 34 DE and Shepard for a pass rusher and that's a great draft.

3. Chase Thomas*, OLB, Stanford- So they can apply pressure without overloading blitzes.
4. Janzen Jackson*, FS, Miami - They need a guy that can replace Reed. Jackson sure has the potential.
5. Ryan Lindley, QB, San Diego St - Anyone they had behind Joe Flacco is either worthless or a free agent.

We have no idea whether Kindle will be able to make plays. Sure he has been cleared for contact, but until we see him in actual games making and taking hits, its probably best to assume to wont. Plus, there is that age old "can never have too many pass rushers" thing.

Doubt we'd take a 6th round CB. Our FO has said in the past that they dont like taking CBs after the early rounds as the quality really drops off after about the 3rd round. It was a pretty big surprise that we drafted Brown in the 5th this year.

Other than C, S, DE and OLB (dependent on Kindle), ILB is also a big need with Ray Lewis likely to retire after the 2012 season (he has said he only wants to play for 2 more years) and I'd prefer that the future #1 ILB spends some time learning from the best
