he' one of the top 5, mot talented backs in college football, he dominated late last season as a rs frosh and with questions at qb and storm johnson transferring, he will undoubtedly be the focal point of the offense.

Lamar Miller should be one of the top RBs in the ACC this season, but I don't see how nationally he'd be viewed as a 1st team preseason AA after rushing for 600 yards and 6 TDs in 2010.
I think he's a candidate to be an AA at the end of the season, but I don't see how he enters the fall as a potential lock to earn that status.
Other RBs are starting off 2011 with more impressive resumes than Miller, he's just not there yet.

If it's all about resume's, why is Trent Richardson an AA candidate? Were his stats (700 yards, 6.3, ypc 6 TD's vs. 640 yards, 6.0 ypc, 6 TD's) that much more impressive? Or are people voting for him based off the fact that he has immense talent, will be the focal point of his offense this year and has shown flashes of dominance?

It doesn't matter if I'm an FSU fan or a Baylor fan. What has Lamar Miller done that is worthy of All-American status? He ran for 646 yards, 6 TDs, and averaged 58.7 yards per game. That's All-American status to you?
Miller is a great talent no doubt, and will be one of the top backs in the ACC, but there's no way he's a preseason All-American. There were better backs who put up way better numbers last year.

James- 7, Lattimore- 6, Miller- 4, Richardson- 3, Hillman- 1
It's a preseason AA team, not a postseason one. Last years stats dont matter, we're predicting this year.

Last year's production DOES matter, that's why NO TRUE FRESHMAN have ever been picked for a non-freshman, preseason AA team.
I didn't vote for Trent Richardson either, but IMO what Trent did in the SEC is a little more impressive than what Miller did last year for the 'Canes.
I don't really have a big problem with either Miller or RIchardson being preseason AAs, but there are more deserving candidates IMO.
And yeah, I already voted for Lattimore and James.

No true freshman has ever been picked for a preseason AA team because nobody has ever seen them play college ball.

of course there is a bit of projecting involved but preseason AA are usually the best players of last year that are left.

When will we get a RB on the 1st team???? This process is crazy long. I feel like Gruden when he was talking BUBBLE SCREENS with Pryor!
