Where do you rank/expect Matt Stafford to go in a league that has YD bonuses for QBs (3pts at 200, 5 at 300, 10 at 400) and Passing TD's are 6.

I've had Stafford as my QB last 2 seasons and loved every minute of it. The passing bonuses helped with his lack of TDs last season.

QBs go fast so I had to take Stafford at the end of 1st rnd last season (remember he was coming off 5k and 40 TDs), but where can I expect to land him this year??

those settings instantly vault him above all the running QBs into Manning/Brady territory if you ask me

It's hard to say based on that league because I don't know alot of the info. But if QB is something you've got to have in that league to win, I'd probably go with Brees as my #1 QB and Stafford #2 and would value him as a 2nd round pick.

Ok guys, gonna have my "real" draft this week and need to come up with a strategy. Cost $250 to play, possibly win $1250 if you win the league.

10 team. Standard Scoring. Regular live draft. Start 1 QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1TE, 1K, 1D.

I'm thinking probably draft the best RB available in round 1, unless I pick late in which I might grab Calvin.

Whats the best philosophy to have under this circumstance? Since you start WR, take Calvin if there and go WR, WR, RB or WR,RB,WR?

Or if Calvin is gone do I take RB, then hope a WR like Bryant, Green, Julio, Marshall etc are there in round 2? For example if I grab Doug Martin, then Julio Jones do I target WR or RB with the next pick?

I would think RBs would slide a little down the board in this scenario and If I grabbed 1 stud RB in the first 3 rounds I could then grab 2 guys somewhere between 5-10 that could likely be my #2.

Should I try to come out of the first 4 rounds with a RB, and 3 WRs (or 2 WRs and Graham since I think he has that upside)?

PPR league titan??

In mock drafts before my money league draft in a week, I've just constantly noticed how shallow the RB group is this year.

My plan was to go RB/RB right away, but I picked 5th and all the second tier backs were gone in the second, so I grabbed Brees who fell. Then I took Demaryius in the 3rd, with Sproles and Murray in the late fourth and early fifth. Wasn't my strategy going in, so just play it by ear and make value picks.

The strategy that worked (I think) for me in a PPR league where I picked 7th/10 was to take Calvin (all the top RBs I liked were gone), then Marshall in the second, and then Randall Cobb in the third. Fourth I went with Darren Sproles, who's a top 10, top 12 back in PPR, then Tony Gonzalez, then Matt Stafford. After that it was just BPA. Felt that since I had missed out on the top backs, I might as well get top WRs, all of whom will outscore most of the backs. Didn't feel like I totally missed out on RBs because of Sproles.

Don't ya hate it when that happens lol.

That's my main problem though, since there's no flex position teams are forced to start 3WR so it raises the value of them. When teams can only start 2 RBs, it slightly lowers the value of the position, mostly the depth of the position since most will only need one solid backup for bye weeks/injury rather than where In normal leagues I like to carry 4 good quality backs.

Either way I see myself being weak at either RB2 or WR3, and I am somewhat torn on which is the worst scenario. I can draft two borderline RBs like LeVeon Bell, Reggie Bush, Lamar Miller, Mcfadden etc and just start whichever one I want each week opposite of a solid RB1. Or I can draft a RB2 like Gore and come back with a weak WR3 and still try to grab 2 guys to compete for that spot.

Then I think you should definitely try to pull 1-2 RB's in the first 3 rounds TBH.

But like Prock said, see what value falls to you between WRs and RBs and go from there.

i've been having a lot of success going RB WR WR if i'm in the top six where i'll take one of peterson/foster/spiller/rice/charles/lynch. otherwise i go WR RB WR with calvin as that first receiver. if i'm picking like 7 or later and calvin is gone i just **** my pants

If you go RB in round one, say Lesean McCoy, in round 2 what route do you go if there's.....Stevan Ridley, Steven Jackson, Julio Jones, Brandon Marshall, Chris Johnson, AJ Green and Jimmy Graham on the board?

I was going Ridley for awhile just because I don't want to be suck with Reggie Bush or Lamar Miller as my 2nd RB. But lately ive been snagging up AJ or Marshall.

Alright, here it is. 15 team PPR League, I picked 3rd

QB: Russel Wilson
RB: Doug Martin
RB: Darren McFadden
WR: Roddy White
WR: Kendall Wright
TE: Rob Gronkowski
Flex: Giovani Bernard
D/ST: Cowboys
K: Garrett Hartley

Jonathan Franklin
Josh Gordon
Matt Schaub
Ryan Broyles
Rob Housler
Chiefs

I've never done a league this big before, but I'm really liking it. McFadden always scares me because of injuries, but I liked his upside over Wilson. I took a chance passing up Lacy/Bell/Bradshaw in the 4th to take Gronkowski. I don't care if he misses the first 13 weeks, if he's his oldself by week 14 it was well worth the pick.

For a 15 team league, that looks pretty good. Martin will be great in PPR, as will Roddy, and Bernard might also be a sleeper in that regard.

Did 3 mocks under the scenario I stated earlier:

Mock A (Pick 9):
QB: Wilson (7), Freeman (15)
RB: McCoy (1), Bell (5), Wilson (6), Richardson (10), Hillman (12)

Is one team significantly better than the others, or do they all have different attributes that makes each better but in the end they're all basically the same? Obviously after round 8 the value gets a little off as a lot of people leave around that time and the computer starts taking K and Ds so my teams wouldnt have quite as good as talent late

What's the fun in a Non PPR league? I don't think I'd ever join another one. That should be standard, dammit.

If it was standard I'd gladly play in them, but the league I'm referring to is Yahoo managed so all theres are default not PPR, 3WR and 2RB so I've got to play that way if I wanna do the $250 entry fee.

PPR leagues are ***. You should never have to take Darren Sproles in your first 20 picks.

Anybody have any input on those mocks? I think Mock C was actually the best, If I can get two solid starting RBs and then come back with 2 or 3 solid WRs before grabbing my TEs and QBs I think that's a pretty good strategy. If RBs weren't of value in Round 2 I'd probably grab a WR and come back with my 3rd hoping for Ridley, Forte, S-Jax or Gore.

Just completed my money league draft. 12 team. standard ppr. I picked 12th. Really not sure how I did, but I feel good.

QB - RG3
RB - Lesean McCoy
RB - MJD
WR - Calvin Johnson
WR - Vincent Jackson
TE - Greg Olsen
Flex - Antonio Brown
Ravens Defense
Steve Hauschka

Bench:
Giovani Bernard
Daryl Richardson
Bernard Pierce
Alshon Jeffrey
Darrius Heyward-Bey
Zach Ertz
Alex Smith

I'm really confident in my starters, but my depth is pretty shaky. I tried to do the RB/RB strategy for my first 2 rounds, but Calvin's value just seemed to good to pass up.

I like Mock C the best as well. I'm not really a fan of mock B, those RBs are made of glass.

so...

1. C
2. A
3. B

How I would rank it.
