I'm going to laugh if Philly doesn't win it all this year.

Eagles murdered the FA market.
The Cards did not.

Before this began, it was expected that they would rape the market, with all their cash. But they're doing even better than a lot of people expected. They were the favorite to land Aso for so long, then they disappear for a while on that front, and then just steal the guy last second. Cold blooded.

I'm real surprised Jenkins signed a deal like that. With his injury history and age, this is probably his last contract. I had him pegged as a guy looking to cash out because of that....and figured he would get more than that.

Bolts resigned Billy Volek to a 2 year deal.
Because of Rivers never being injured, I forgot Volek even existed lol.

Michael Lombardi of NFL Network reports that Jenkins’ contract could essentially turn into a one-year, $4 million deal if the Eagles decide to let him go after the 2011 season.
|
looks like he could hit the open market again after this season and hope to cash in on a better deal

Eagles look damn good but if Vick goes down they are in big trouble. He's not exactly the most durable player in the world either.

Dang. The Eagles are making some off season moves. Jenkins will be a player for them for sure. The only problem he ever has is staying healthy. Are they going to be able to afford a new Jackson contract now?

So Gaither doesn't check out medically and the Raiders end up not signing him, and instead resign Khalif Barnes

True, he's only played all 16 games once, but I feel like if they needed it, VY could step in for a game or two or three and keep them competitive. Especially with the way that defense is shaping up and the playmakers they have on offense.

Vince Young can guide the ship for a few games if he has to.

Yet to be seen. They've switched o-line coaches and schemes. Brought in Howard Mudd. He's all about the smaller, more athletic build. That's a key reason why they let guys like Nick Cole and Max Jean-Gilles go.

Sad. But not surprising. He's a good player, but the Ravens have known all along that the guy has some serious medical concerns.

Texans cut Amobi Okoye? Was he really that bad? I was very high on him coming out, wouldn't mind us taking a look.

Expendable 3rd DT who will provide depth as the #3 DT for the Browns who have nothing behind their twin-nose guard starters, Ahtyba Rubin and Phil Taylor, not a bad trade. Tom Heckert drafted him when he was in Philly.

He's started most of his career games and all 16 the past two years. He hasn't lived up to the top 10 pick billing, but I think this cut was more about him not fitting Phillips' scheme more than being outright bad. Disappointing maybe, but you can do worse for a 4-3 DT.

They didnt like his fit, but they also have been looking to get rid of him. He was actually really looking forward to moving to end. And honestly, he has a good skill set for 34 end. You just wish he was a better pass rusher at this point. He's still so young, so he's worth a look for a lot of teams, yet.
