"The Carroll County Times' Aaron Wilson reports the Ravens are expected to sign free agent SS Bernard Pollard.
The Ravens are apparently looking for depth at safety with Tom Zbikowski on the non-football illlness list with a skin condition. Extremely poor in coverage, Pollard did manage to lead the Texans with 112 tackles last season"

I don't get it, is he bad in coverage or something? :D
Hopefully Zbikowski doesn't miss too much time, I'd hate to have a safety that's worse than Landry in coverage.

I don't understand why the Giants are just letting him walk...
Is it their cap situation? -___-

Work him out being the keyword... Not signing.
From PFT Today at 2:30PM EST
Quote:
Per a source with knowledge of the cap numbers, here are the seven teams that were in the red: Raiders ($17.3 million), Steelers ($11.5 million), Texans ($8.5 million), Vikings ($5.6 million), Lions ($5 million), Cowboys ($3.7 million), and Panthers ($939,000).
|
Al is senile and wondering who took his wallet.
Teams have to be under the cap by the new league year which is suppose to be tomorrow. They are giving teams a 1 time 3 million dollar exemption. But still roughly 14 million over with that included.
Quote:
|
The highest-paid 51 players on each team must be under the cap by the start of the 2011 League Year.

GMen have Travis Beckham behind him. I guess they're comfortable with him taking over the starting gig.

I think Ben Patrick starts over Beckum. He has shown absolutely nothing to prove himself as a starter. He's marginally better than Boss as a receiver, but there a huge drop off in blocking and that's what we like out of our TE's more.

He seemed like a decent tight end ever since he took over for Shockey. Not great, but decent and has made some great plays these last few years.

Patrick should never start over anyone, he was the Cardinals 3rd TE last year out of Spach, Dray and him. And he can not block whatsoever

So what's going to happen with Chris Johnson's situation in Tennessee? He's crazy to play another down without some kind of guaranteed raise. He deserves to be the highest paid RB in the game.

I'm really surprised Baltimore didn't try to re-sign him.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh is gone right?

He is one of two that, in my opinion, deserves to be paid at an elite level. Unless you're a player with the athletic ability of Johnson, or the ability to put up 3 bills any given week like AP, you can probably be replaced pretty easily by most undrafted backs. It sucks to be a RB right now, but it's just an important position. Have average speed, average hands, and learn to block a little, and you can be a start in today's NFL.

"How does a guy who had one good year -- no disrespect to Charles Johnson -- sign a deal and make more than both me and (Justin) Tuck combined? It's not right," Umenyiora said in the email.
Haha. I'm certainly not loving Osi right now, but this is funny.

Yeah but that's a good thing ;). Supposedly we're in the lead for Floyd so I'm not too surprised we let Mason go.

Haha, Ryan Cook.....I don't know if he got better last year or just spent more time on the bench, but the couple years before that, I thought that the Vikings fans here were going to track him down and lynch him.

I saw some rumor on twitter that the Eagles are considering trading Asante Samuel to the Lions for Corey Williams and a draft pick...
Hmm. That doesn't sound too bad for either team.
