I'll end it by saying that the Panthers paid elite money to a player who in 2010 in his first year as a starter was one of the most productive defensive ends in both areas of the game. His production statistically un-matched. Should that kind of production continue it's a fair contract. The future remains to be unseen but as of right now they've paid the best defensive end on the free agent market, fair value for his most recent year of production.
Dolphins interest in Barber and Denvers interest in McGahee makes me think the DeAngelo Williams sweepstakes are over.

Panthers should have signed Kalil long term and put the franchise tag on Charles Johnson. I understand they couldn't let him go to Atlanta but its just too much money.

Rams apparently making an offer to Plaxico, Giants have already apparently submitted one.

It'll prorate to about 7 mill a year, there's literally no one on the roster who's expensive, Kalil has been tagged he's going no where and will probably get a deal.
Panthers will be like 20 mill under the cap once the deals are all locked in for Newton and Johnson. Plenty of space.

Yeah I don't know where he (williams) will end up, it just seems like he's got the offers he wants and is just weighing his options at this point.

Gaither would be a huge upgrade to our OT might get a chance to move back to LT in Oakland. Raider fans been wanting him for at least 2 years so it would be fitting if we can get him.

well I know he isnt going to baltimore since our coaching staff seems to enjoy running young beast LT out of town and telling our young franchise QB to **** off when he had suggestions for our offense.

Nothing has changed. All of the previously rumored QBs are still available.

Man all the redskins could get for mcnabb was a 2012 6th rounder and a conditional 2013 6th rounder? I figured they could get a 3rd or 4th at least. I wonder what happens with Haynesworth now...

I hope the Jags overpaid for Weddle if they did get him, but that leaves very little in the way of options for the Colts at SS if true. I suppose Landry and. Whitner remain available, but I wouldn't feel nearly as confident with one of those two at SS as I would with Mikell or Weddle.

hes getting old, injury prone, and underperformed last year. so two conditional late rounders is lucky, especially considering everyone knew he was getting released giving washington zero leverage.
