I wonder why that it is, though. He ran a 4-3 during his entire stretch in New Orleans and while he was in St. Louis

Looks like Brad Smith may be signing with the #Bears today according to Michael Lombardi
Donte Stallworth has agreed to a 1 year deal with the Redskins
Falcons reach 5 year agreement with Stephen Nicholas
KC loses NT Ron Edwards to Carolina

Ughhh, I don't like that deal at all. Brad Smith doesn't really offer an upgrade at receiver. Sure, he is a good returner. But we have Hester returning punts and Danieal Manning is a good kick returner. If he comes cheap (which I doubt) it may not be bad.
And if he causes the Bears to start running some form of the Wildcat, I will be so pissed. I hate that crap.

Looks like the Jets are making a run at Aso. I would think getting a offense lineman who can protect Sanchez or help run block for Green or signing Holmes or getting a pass rusher would be a higher priority but guess not.

We are working on re-signing Holmes, and WHY the hell would we sign an offensive lineman? We have one of the best lines in the league. As for a rusher, that we could use, but with Rex, he puts more value on people who can cover one on one and allow him to bring more people.
If you're unaware of what is going on in a situation, it's usually best NOT to comment on it.

@mattbarrows Breaking: Center David Baas has agreed to terms with the Giants, according to a league source.

This one hurts terribly.
The teams top two centers (along with Heitmann) are now gone.

Not a huge loss but does hurt the Chiefs depth.

We better officially agree to a deal with him or Holmes today. Well, even if we don't, all these rumors have me completely back in football mode.

I don't understand the Brad Smith signing. Hester can return kicks.

Completely agree. Adding a guard should definitely be a priority over setting up the greatest CB tandem in modern NFL history. And tackle also, even though they literally just addressed RT and have one of the best LTs in the league.

A direct quote from him would be idiotic but all the insiders say he would. And according to Mike Lombardi, there's no question Mr. T could make it work under the cap.

youre not even a little intrigued to see how that would go? itd be pretty sick this year watching revis and aso together, the other teams qb will be having nightmares and that defense would have a chance to be a truly great one.
...until a year from now after aso gets paid more than revis, causing him to holdout next year (he already said he might back when he signed haha http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/feed...peated-in-2012) and they have no money to resign him with. and he'd be holding out while others took pay cuts/restructured deals to get a great player like aso, would be pretty damn selfish.

Why couldn't every team do the same, then?

Him and Revis made a bunch of comments after the Pro Bowl two years back about wanting to play with each other, and how they had "talked to Rex." Which made us look bad, because that would have been tampering.

I know what your saying but I'm just wondering if all the talk about him wanting to go to NY and create that tandem is just a child of the media.

Smith is a better wr, adds wildcat, and bears love those types of players. He's arguably a better K returner too. K. Not p.
