Yeah, normally that'd be a dumb move to flat out tell him he's your plan B. But when his other choice is Cleveland I guess you can afford to do so

Pretty sure he got a lot of flack, Bush and Vince were supposed to be the front runners.
And if the Texans picked Bush, the Saints woulda got AJ Hawk..
Crazy how things work out.

Bush vs Hawk is pretty much a wash anyway. Neither are what they were supposed to be. They're just a couple of mediocre players.

Wellllllll I dont know. Hawk went to the Packers and tried to make him a 3-4 MLB when he was a 4-3 OLB. Who knows the possibilities.

Nicks could be a Buccaneer soon.
Quote:
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t waste much time celebrating their acquisition of prized wide receiver Vincent Jackson on Tuesday night.
They didn’t have time because they had to get to the airport to pick up New Orleans guard Carl Nicks. The Bucs are expected to go hard after Nicks, who did receive an offer from the Saints that he termed “respectable’’. But the fact that Nicks was willing to fly to Tampa late Tuesday night for a Wednesday visit at One Buccaneer Place is a pretty strong indication that Tampa Bay has given signs it may be willing to make Nicks the league’s highest-paid guard.

Hawk played three years at WOLB in a 4-3. So, we actually do know the possibilities.

Erm, Schefter just tweeted that Brandon Marshall was involved in another "incident" that could lead to an NFL review. Not good.

When free agency started today, Raiders had a league-low $639.966 worth of salary-cap space.

Hawk hasn't been spectacular, but he would have probably been a better pick for the Saints than Bush turned out to be, in hindsight.
I remember the hype that year. It was supposed to be one of the most top-heavy drafts ever, with Bush, Young, Ferguson, Hawk, Williams, Davis, and Huff... The Texans wound up looking pretty smart for taking Williams at #1.

I can't wait for Chargers fans to come in here and say they won't lose a step replacing VJax with Meachem.

Woooooo yeah Reggie Wayne is back in Indy! I am totally surprised and stoked about this. I thought he was gone for good. Really friendly contract too, wow. Luck will have a real #1 WR to throw to.
I'm almost as happy about this as Andy Dwyer no doubt is.
