I forgot they don't have a 1st rounder anymore, so I guess it doesn't really matter. Just go BPA I guess. They do want DTs so I guess that will be high on their radar.

It's just Cliff Avril. He's only kind-of-sort-of-ok at rushing the passer and he's a turnstile in run defense. Not really an impact piece. I wish Detroit had done the dumb thing and paid him so the Bears could keep playing against him twice a year.

Amendola 5yr/31Mil
Slap in the face to Welker IMO.

Davis owned that fool the past 2 years

I agree but Great scheme fit though. They can't continue to put pass rush resources unless its a 3 tech. Bet deal is structured so it is easily cut after year 2 when Seahawks need money.

he doesn't do a ton for me either but should add to the rotation there. Might be thinking of Bruce Irvin in more of a lb role.
Not sure where they'll go in the draft after trading their #1. Could still go for d-line but more the Dt type.

If healthy, then possibly bc Welker is getting older. But he's made of glass, so that's a major concern.

I remember it being around the 35 for a first down but as you say the memory can play tricks.

He gets less pressure than Mike Bennett and no one's talking about him. Bennett can play the run with the best in the league, too.

Welker gets 6 million a year, this guy gets 200K more, lol. Ohh man they really wanted to rub it in his face.
Brady must be pissed, take a pay cut to keep his boy, and they dont' sign him, and instead pay a guy 200k more than what the Broncos gave Welker.

They need DTs. But they will have their own Nascar when Clemons gets back.
Hm.
I wonder if they might cut Clemons now... or maybe Zach Miller... they'll have three guys for the same position. I'd have to think someone will get the ax to free up space for this. Maybe even Mebane or Bryant...
Hm.
Maybe they'll move Bryant to 3-tech and play Avril at LDE until Clemons comes back. Then move Avril to Irvin's position, put Clemons at LDE. I don't know. They currently have 3 guys fit for LEO and only one above average run defender at DL... they need Branch back...
EDIT: They currently don't have a WLB. Avril may be the starting SLB... or Irvin. K.J. can play WLB or MLB. And Wagner could play either also...

You are correct, and your memory is fine on this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT6XziIQ5RI

Younger version so there's that. Not sure it puts the Pats any closer to the SB but it shores up the position there. I still think they need someone to stretch the defense.

Mike Bennett is not as special as he thinks he is, or what he thinks he is worth on the open market. I don't see people banging down doors for him. Yes he is very solid against the run, but I'll still take Avril to make more of an impact on defense if i had to choose.

He's far from made of glass. The dude is unbelievably tough. He plays balls to the wall. I can't imagine what he will do with Brady.

I absolutely love the potential of the Amendola signing. That being said, I highly doubt he plays in over 12 games this season.
