Jake Heaps does not look like the guy people thought he was going to be. Basing this on a small sample size, but he's never been all that impressive to me.

Update: Michael Floyd is really really good. Not sure if it will translate to the NFL, but he's good. Not very fast though.

Floyd translates to the NFL just fine, IMO. Might not be a burner, but he generates separation and has a great all around game. Just a great technical receiver with talent to boot.

The WR class this year is going to rival the '09 class.

The ND defense with the exception of that long heave by Denard for a TD has been pretty dominant.

Do college games ever last close to 3 hours anymore? I set my DVR to 3.5 hours and it still didn't record the last 5 games minutes of the South Carolina-Georgia game. I should have known better than to not record it an extra hour, but it's still annoying. Somehow the NFL can fit their games into 3 hour slots on Sunday, but college games now regularly run around 4 hours.

Eh, not quite. David Ash is purely an option qb right now and Case is still very raw. Gilbert sucks though, the expectations completely ate him alive and his career is derailed because of it.

Disappointing to see Boston College start the year with two losses that featured zero offense. Rettig was supposed much improved this off-season and the receivers are pretty decent. Losing to UCF, even though they've been good lately, sucks ass.

All 3 of their turnovers have killed them. They should be up 3 scores.

What a throw by Robinson. With a guy dragging him down.

The b1g is looking horrible this season. Most of the sec is looking down with two or three elite teams The pac12 looks pootacular. The big 12 is looking as good as the sec IMO.

There are people who say the SEC is down every year. If the SEC is down every year, just imagine an up year.

Great run by Robinson, but he almost lost the ball at the end there. Can't afford to do that in a close game like this.

The Big 12 is the most overrated conference in the country from year to year.

Horrible? Calm down. Minnesota, Indiana, and Purdue look horrible. They also looked horrible last year, so not much else is new.

Also, the SEC is the best conference this year. You don't even have to watch a game to know that. The distance between the SEC and everyone else is pretty big, and I ******* hate the SEC.

I agree. The Oklahoma programs and A&M are quite good this year, but I've always thought they've been pretty overrated as a league. Certainly top heavy, at the very least. I'm not sold on any of those teams being capable of winning a BCS game either. Oklahoma lucked out on the draw against UConn last year, A&M got smacked by LSU, and State didn't have to play many real defenses last year either.

The big ten is looking weak sauce. Uw and maybe Nebraska are top 15 type teams right now.
There is lsu and bama in the sec and a big drop off to the next tier.
The big 12 has ou and and a few top 25 teams, so I guess you are right that they aren't sec level.
And the pac12 flat out blows.

Then USC blocks the game tying FG and wins it. Crazy finish.
