yeah Haden had an all-pro, shutdown corner type performance today. Good to see rookie Phil Taylor and that young Browns defensive line play so well too.

I wouldn't write off Dalton yet. He's young and missed 2 quarters with a wrist injury. Cincy's defensive line looked pretty good out there. Dunlap, Atkins, Peko, Fanene...those guys look legit. Cincy's D-Coordinator knows how to get the most out of Chris Crocker and Reggie Nelson at safety too.

After seeing most of the teams play in Week One, the GB loss in Week One doesn't bother me all that much in the NFC.. well, it didn't after the game but it REALLY doesn't bother me now.

Tampa Bay didn't look good at all.

I thought the Chargers looked ******* dominant even though they only won by a TD and were trailing at half.

I wasn't impressed by San Diego at all - well, I take that back - their defensive was overall pretty impressive.

Most shocking result today was what B'more did to the Steelers.

Are the Steelers on the decline?? Is their O line a fraud?? Is Big Ben regressing?? Is Pittsburgh's D getting old??

How good are the Ravens??? If Flacco is finally comfortable in the Ravens' offense, this could be their year.

Shocking is how good Bryant Mckinnie was because Oher+Yanda on the right side is great, and Grubbs and Birk aint shabby. If Mckinnie can keep up his play the Ravens will be scary. Heap and Mason were consistent and sure handed but Dickson, Pitta, and hopefully Torrey add a new dimension. I for one expected Bryant to be Alex Barron bad

Anyone still believe in Mark Sanchez????

EDIT: May have spoken too soon, dude just threw a TD to Burress.

I still don't see a potential top 10 QB when I watch Sanchez play.

The Tolbert-Mathews thing really is an enigma for me.
Ryan seems way more talented. Tolbert looks like a short fullback.
Both guys seem to take huge hits time & time again.
I keep rolling the dice with Mathews in FF but that litlte stump keeps finding the end zone time & time again.
I should have drafted Tolbert first, not Mathews.

Thumbs-up:
-Jay Cutler
-Matty Ice Stafford
-Rob Ryan, Tony Romo & Dez Bryant (so far)
-Adrian Peterson (still a beast despite loss)
-Philip Rivers (clutch despite being harrassed and battered)
-Kevin Kolb & Cam Newton... both guys deserved wins, unlike SF-Seattle
-Ray Rice & Terrell Suggs
-Rex Grossman
-Ted Ginn (may not have made it as a WR, but who can in Miami? But he's lethal as a return stud)
-Ben Tate (Foster better get healthy soon)
-Redskins defense

Thumbs down
-Overrated, finesse NFC South
-Big Ben, Steelers OL
-Todd Haley
-Colts
-Eli Manning
-NFC West, including Arizona for making Cam Newton look like Dan Marino+Vick combined
-Tampa Bay offensive coordinator
-Tennessee offensive coordinator
-Atlanta offensive coordinator
-Mike Jenkins, Dallas (at least he's trying this year, but he's supposed to deliver the punishment out there. I've seen him get the worst end of 2 offensive plays, first Shonn Greene crushed him on a run, now Plaxico blindsided him hard.... are those hits still legal like that?)
-Tampa Bay crowd (looked like as many open seats as filled)

My only big reaction to this week is how polarized everyone is after the first Sunday of the NFL season... Seriously guys? I thought we were all more rational than this. The hating, hugging, and declaring has gotten out of control.

It was a shortened off-season. Every team prepared differently in an extremely abnormal circumstance and we really can't jump to too many conclusions until at least 2-3 games into the year.

Teams that had lots of veterans and mainstays have done well. Younger teams that went through some changes didn't. Let's see what happens when those teams that seem like disappointments get to do real work and make real adjustments based on real experience.

The only cut-and-dry things to come out of today are the Colts aren't good without Peyton Manning and Cam Newton had a great debut that won't mean much unless he can continue doing well and the Panthers win some games.

The Ravens OL showed up and Flacco finally learned how to actually throw the ball instead of being a girl in the pocket.

edit: I used to think Flacco was the best young QB in the NFL. Then he regressed to grandma level.

He just threw for 350 and 2 TDs and I think we can all agree that he missed plenty of opportunites and played a mediocre game by his standards. The potential to be a top 10 QB is clearly there

Get the **** out of here with this ********. I ******* could have thrown twice that with all of Dallas's starting DBs being out for the game. If you want to throw in missed plenty of passes as a category fine, but thats going to be a big list at the end of the season if we should start keeping track, something that elite QBs don't do. Also how about the should have been interceptions? Or the actual bone headed interceptions, or the fumble? Any elite QB playing with the talent the Jets have on all sides of the ball would have won a SB by now, and not just "he took us to two AFC championships". He is the weakest part of that team, and is certainly not a top ten QB, or will ever be that kind of a QB.

I don't like how Sanchez is ALWAYS screwing around with the count. He's at the LOS for like 10-15 seconds every play. That can't be good - especially on running plays. They also vary the formations so much - I wish they'd make the offense a little simpler.

But I DEFINITELY see top-10 potential when he physically spins it. 90% of his throws are ******* beautiful.

How can an offense get more simple than check down check down check down? I need to stop all the raging pats bias coming out right now, but I hate that guy so much.

Did you see the O-Line Sanchez had? Ware was at Sanchez throat at least 6 times in the game and Spencer was at Sanchez face twice.

The O-Line was so bad, that it amazes me how Sanchez got out of this in one piece. Considering how awful the line was, Sanchez getting the numbers he did and the big plays he did, is amazing in its self.
