Compared to differential equations that is required of all engineers at my school, yes simple algebra is simple.
|
That isn't even simple algebra, that is just plug the numbers you are given into the standard compound interest formula, doesn't even have to solve anything.
I used to be able to do the last economics and still could with the formulas, but really, how hard is it for you to grab the formula's and put in the numbers, that question is one of the first things you will see in introduction to finance and even has all the required information. Both IRR and ERR are a formula, Net Present Value and its related equations will give you the rest.

Hey guys I need some serious help..
I know there is a homework thread but it barely gets any looks and I need some mad help with this homework.
Its a business class homework where I have 15,000 dollars and have to buy stocks for 5 companies (in the NYSE) and will keep track of them for 3 weeks. Now I can't seem to find a list for stocks and the NYSE website truly sucks. Can anyone help me?

Your newspaper should publish the daily stock values everyday. If you know if they are in the Dow Jones, Nasdaq, or S&P 500, you should be able to search by the company name, which is usually abbreviated

Google and Wikipedia really aren't that hard to use.
And you could have just posted in the other thread. Or if you were that worried about lack of viewing there posted a like to it in the RDT.

Well to be honest I did looked for the NYSE website and it sucked and then I really don't want to look just for 5 companies I know are good, I wanted to check some with cheap stocks but looked to be on the rise, and make some sort of risk, of course I couldn't find any list but now I've found it and realistically it was looking for Stock Symbols, lol.

If you can't do that, you aren't going to pass the subject. That's a pretty simple npv question and if it's anything like the subject i did last semester, it'll get plenty harder.

Alright I need help with a formula for excel. What I'm trying to do is compute the common size income statement. To do this I have to divide each item on the statement by a single item on the statement (sales revenue). I could do them all one by one, but I need to know how to write the formula where I can just drag it down the entire C column. Here is a screenshot:
So basically what I need to do is divide all the numbers in the B column by the B11 cell and put that percentage in the C column. The 100% is the first one which I did without a formula. I'm sure there's a formula for this, hopefully one of you will know it
Thanks for any help.

Are there any Psychology buffs out there? I'm looking all over the internet for 5 professional journal articles within the last 5 years and have found 2. It seems as if I can't gain access to just about everything else. Anyone know any good sites?
*When I say professional journal articles I mean including method, abstract, etc,.

i have my first college final with an essay tomorrow and was wondering just how long you're supposed to write for an in-class essay. the final is three hours long and there is a short answer section so the entirety of the final isn't the essay but just wondering cause i'm not such a great timed writer.

Most courses make you buy one of those "blue-book" essay documents for finals. 1-2 pages should be decent unless it really is an in depth topic. I always used the "write until you think you adequately answered the question" rule of thumb. Don't write to little, but don't make an extra page from fluff and BS.

I don't think things have changed that much in a decade.

You can go to this organization in our Uni where they'll give you free pencils and scantrons and blue books. But **** walking all the way over there. Just buy the damn .50 cent book at the Union.

Just a comment on school in general. I am a junior in college and this Screenwriting class is the hardest god damned class I have took in college so far. I thought it was going to be fun and semi-easy but this stuff is hard.. definitely makes you think in a different way you are used to.
Anyone take a course that was way harder than they thought it was going to be?

Any creative writing/screenwriting class is going to be a lot harder than you anticipate. And they're all ******* worthless! I ******* hated those teachers.
