Well, please tell me what those 5 posistions were, cause he only played 2 posistions in HS (3 if you count PR/KR as a possition). Recruiting analysts have brought up that he had the potential to play 5 different positions at the D1 level (those being Running back, safety, corner, slot reciever, and returner), but (and I'll say it for the last time) he only played Runningback and Safety in HS.
I'mma let this thread die now, there's nothing else to say.

Considering most NFL systems are the same... All of em? I know it seems weird but Tajh Boyd reminds me a lot of Michael Robinson in college. So a position change to RB/FB in the NFL might happen? (Hopefully not)

as for the Reggie Bush comparison, didn't he measure 5'11" 201 at the combine
|
That is after a couple of months to add weight though because it was his biggest concern going in and realistically the difference between 5'11 201 and 5'8 180 isn't much, those 3 inches explain probably 15 of that difference.
Bush isn't a big guy, he isn't as small as DeAnthony, who just looks flat out tiny, but Bush wasn't a bruiser.

Well he named 3 of them, love to know the other two and even then distinguishing between S and CB is probably pushing it to get to 3, that is just one step above calling FB and RB two different positions.

Oh really? lol.
No the fact of the matter is that Thomas wont be a great NFL prospect. Kiffen was lookin at his future letting him know that he would be a better corner prospect when it comes to translating to the NFL. Kiffen mentioned the idea of letting him play both ways a little here and there, but Thomas was set on playing RB.

That's my point, DeAnthony wouldn't be able to put that much muscle on his iddy biddy tiny little frame. Bush was never considered "undersized". He was always a compact, and muscular athlete.
I think I i understand what you're getting at, and that's DeAnthony (if he played at USC) would have a similar role as Bush, and USC was very successful with him. With that being said, DeAnthony isn't the athlete Bush was/is. Reggie will always be the exception.

DeAnthony Thomas is doing pretty well for himself tonight. I think size can become very overrated for skill offensive players other than QB. We've seen just as many guys without prototypical height and weight succeed as often as guys that don't succeed but have ideal height and weight.

Nobody in this thread questioned that he'd be a good player (I personally think Oregon's offense is the best fit for him), but I'm not sure he'd have (the same) success in a more conventional offense. He's a gamer though, and is no one trick pony.
