The writers on this show don't have the balls to ever kill off Carl. They killed off sophia because she was a red shirt character who had no purpose other than to be used for our shock value, which in turn just pissed everyone off that we had to wait like eight episodes before we figured out what we already knew, the ***** is dead.

I'd pick Dale over Carl 10 times out of 10.

I'd pick actually inviting a Walker into the group over Carl at least 7 times out of 10.

I'm not sure that's a necessary note in any zombie movie. The dead don't stay dead, even if they die w/o a bite. The bodie gets nibbled on, either way.
Only headshots prevent a return. Zombie law.

Obviously they don't know it on the farm though. They considered hanging Randall. That would've made him a walker.

I assume they'd burn the body afterward, as they have with others. It has come up, actually, when they found the suicide victim who hung himself in a tree but had his legs chewed so he was a walker. (Swinger? Yeah Baby!!)

At least their screw up allowed them to interrogate the kid. Clearly they didn't even bother doing that when they were repairing his leg for a while.

A week passed in between the episode where they found Randall and the beginning of the next episode.

Last week's episode was strictly to tell us two things: Rick was back in charge and zombies passed the affliction via scratches. I figured Dale would be scratched up but instead he was killed. Which makes it pretty clear who will be turned by scratches, at this point. My guess is that's who I will find under the spoiler buttons, which I'm off to check momentarily, as that may be the only reason I watch next week.
Also, please, let's not quibble over zombie abilities. It's alwasy been a bit silly, but zombies have always been able to rend flesh with tooth and nail, regardless off how silly it may be. Honestly, there's so many things to pick on in this show that the age-old zombie stuff doesn't even need to be brought up. For starters, how come nobody ever actually pays attention to wtf the 12ish year old kid is doing . . .
|
You make it sound like I have bias in favor of the show. If that was the case I wouldn't say what I like and didn't like about each episode. I'm not one of the carbon copy folks in this thread that post everything I didn't like about each episode, yet come back every single week to ***** some more. If you don't like the show at all, stop watching.
And Rick was always in charge. We didn't need Shane and Rick fighting to tell us that. At least not to tell me that. As far as the scratches are concerned, I don't think we needed an entire episode for that. Or rather, it's probably just eluding to what Jenner told Rick back at the science facility.

Seriously unless they said that, and I never saw it thats a bull **** excuse. Not to mention if he really was there for that amount of time, how the hell did they not ask him any questions about whether or not he knew where they were, if he knew maggie, lets interrogate him AFTER we don't speak with him for a week and dump him off. I'm sorry but either way it a ******* mind boggling stupid plot hole. Maybe not a plot hole, but a **** job once again by the writers ******* up something so easy. And Herschel said weeks, not week regardless.

Explain to me why Rick was ever in charge of a group Shane was already the leader of, like I'm sorry Rick was always in charge of the group he never heard of or knew anything about while lying in a comma at the hospital, presumed dead to the ones who knew him? Oh so he is psychic as well? How was Rick magically made the leader? Oh I just knew is not an argument. He just became the leader for no reason. Sup guys, Shane has been doing a kick ass job but this is my group. How has no one just been like "why exactly?" yet, especially Shane. i'd be like we were all safe and sound until this dude showed up, and now he becomes the leader, risks everyones lives for no reason and gets more than half the group killed.
NOT TO MENTION HE LEFT A CHILD IN THE ZOMBIE INFESTED WOODS.

lol . . . I'll assume you're just being funny. But, just in case you're not . . .
1 - No way that kid's walking around without even a mild limp after having his leg was impaled.
2 - (and this is the big one) A week in which they didn't bother talking to him about his knowledge of his group, the farm, or anything else.
I still can't decide which is a more shining example of awful writing; the completely inxeplicable "Lori drives off by herself and crashes" or the surprise Rick and Shane display when Randall says he knows Maggie, her dad and the farm.
NVMD . . . I'll just go with option 3, where the zombies are deaf and only wake when a wrench lands on them, rather than when Shane fires a round at Randall.

So you are going to waste time each week watching something you don't like just on the hopes that you'll find an episode that appeals to you? Seems pretty stupid to me. I would have stopped watching by now.

Just picking on you 4s&g. I don't mind at all that you're arguing in favor of the show. I still like it, I just have much higher expecations from AMC. They are better than this, and should not be forcing us to stomach such massive stupidity and over-the-top suspension of disbelief.

Leaving a child in the zombie infested woods is still hands down the stupidest thing I have seen on this show. Why she couldn't had just gone with him is beyond me, considering all he did was hit two slow zombies in the head with a rock.

It was a gradual transition. Me and the other poster were talking about the episode that needed to tell the audience (well for those who couldn't figure it out) that Rick was back in charge due to having a fist fight with Shane out in the middle of nowhere. I don't see how that would change people's mind's when no one was around.
And at the time of the episode it was pretty clear that Shane was being alienated by Lori, Dale, and Herschel. Shane was almost kicked off the farm. Really the only person that showed any true alliance towards Shane was Andrea.
What you are talking about is when Shane still had hair. As for what happened with Sophia, he did what he did to save her. He told her to stay put for five minutes and she wandered off. You make it sound like he did it on purpose due to incompetence. He was trying to fend off two walkers, and lead them away from her so he could kill them silently.
I don't see that as bad as Shane killing Otis.
