Why is this game getting much more hype then the alabama vs. florida game a few years back? The one where Tebow cried.

No idea. WRT Tebow crying, I liked this:
Quote:
|
Best future statue in the making. The rest of his career will have to play out before the powers that be in Columbus decide just how deserving he is, of course, but an oversized metal likeness of Braxton Miller winking and a plaque that reads, simply, “We’re all right,” would be a cool counterpoint to Tim Tebow’s enshrined blubberings.
|
The winking is in reference to this:
Quote:
|
Now Braxton Miller has his last-second Wisconsin win. Miller winked at coach Luke Fickell before final drive, told him "We're all right."

Florida did because OSU did not show up and they had the horses. Freaking pathetic effort by the players and coaches.

Because it is number one vs number two and in the sec. If it wouldn't matter that it would decide who plays in the NC game as well.It is just of a huge game not even funny. It will be fun to watch tune in for your self and enjoying one hell of a football.I just wish it was in the snow ha.

T-bob is a good friend of mine, went and played HS together.
Its not really a nickname, His family is Cajun and in those terms the "T" stands for petite also meaning little (Little Bobby) after his father.

As far as this game is concerned....if Bama doesn't turn the ball over, i'd be surprised if they won by less than 10 points. The defenses are a wash and I just "trust" Bama's offense more than LSU.

Can't wait to see McCarron try and throw the ball on that nasty secondary. The LSU offense is quite a bit better than Bamas. LSU wins by 10 or more.

Geno Smith seemed to rack up a bunch of yards on them. Who knows. I think it'll be a very low scoring, physical game in which special teams play and turnovers dictate the winner. Both of these teams excel at running the ball and stopping the run, so there shouldn't be too much offense.

LSU are going to struggle to score 10 points let alone win by 10.
I say 'Bama win 13-10. Trent Richardson has 130 yards and a TD and 'Bama have about 65% time of possession

If that is the outcome of the game, it will fall way short of the "Game of the Century" hype it is getting.

It should be a great game for lovers of defense because both teams are top, top defenses. I think it will come down to how well LSU can contain Richardson and how well Bama can stop LSU's WRs because you know they're gonna stop the run.

Exactly. Superior defense is why these SEC teams have won the NC the past whatever years.
Hard nosed, old school Big Ten style football is what I see in both LSU and Bama. They play with an emphasis on running the ball and stout defense.
I think it's funny that those two teams play B1G style football better than the B1G.

T-Bob isn't a nickname. It's a form of Jr. in Cajun.
And I have Alabama 21 LSU 20

The game needs to be called "The SuperBowl of Oversigning".
From the WSJ no less.

Texas v USC had #1 vs #2 hype all season long, with former heisman winners, and heisman front runners that season. Not only was it incredibly hyped the entire season long, but it lived up to the hype and was one of the most incredible games ever.
I'm not calling anything the game of the century until afterwards, otherwise your bound to be a let down.
It would be interesting to see how many NFL players were on the field in that usc v UT game, and how many projected are on the field for this one. Both sides of the ball.
I'm taking Bama. I like Nick Saban in these games more then Les Miles, and it'll likely come down to coaching because these teams couldn't be more similiar.
