That's their first loss at home since the civil war, right?

These refs in the Miami/FSU game are just terrible. Both sides have gotten terrible penalties called against them

First regular season loss since 2001. Lost to BC in a bowl game at home in 2005 to Matty Ice.

I still want Boise to kick the **** out of New Mexico, though. They have nothing left to lose, so just go for triple digits on that game!

Kicking catastrophes everywhere. Miami botches the XP.
Is it just me, or does kicking seem to be going down everywhere across college football? There aren't many kickers in the nation who seem worth a damn.

the first year that Boise isn't allowed to wear all blue at home in conference and their hugantic 10 year winning streak at home ends. Not a coincidence.

Not a chance if Houston goes undefeated. BCS only has to take one even if 2 are undefeated. No way in hell they take Boise and their weak fan base and money draw over other options such as the oregon/Stanford loser, Alabama, and okst Oklahoma loser.

yeah, and ohio state missed the XP in regulation that would've won them the game....though that was a blocked XP and it wasn't the kicker's fault.

Tennessee is the worst team in a BCS AQ conference.

Dude, the refs have it out badly for Miami. The ref signaled Florida State ball on the onsides kick before anyone could possibly have maintained possession. Bull **** I say. The guy wasn't even on the ground yet.

The ironic thing is the kickers in the NFL are having such a great season collectively.

I don't think so. Boise's blue field never was a favorable factor for them. That's just like saying the green field is a favorable factor for teams that wear green.
Boise gets a bid if they are Top 12. They'll drop to 14 or 15 at worst this week, and assuming they win the following 3 games, they can move 3 spots.

Well, it goes back to how the NFL gets a distillation of talent from college. Some NFL kicks have been there for damn near 20 years, and only maybe one or two from any given year are added to the ranks. It's not a position with high turnover, so once you have a good guy, you might have him for a long time.
College on the other hand has so many guys who are just downright awful. Seriously, go hijack guys off the soccer team. That's why my high school did. We had a girl kicker who at least made most of her extra points.

That's not true. If both them and Houston are top 12, only one gets a bid. And I'm assuming they'll take the undefeated and the bigger city.

i think you underestimate the advantage of the all blue camoflauge effect. opposing players have noted that it is difficult to play them on that field with those uniforms. why do you think they made a rule that boise can't wear them anymore in the first place? that combined with their measley schedule = ridiculous home winning streak.

I bet they drop below Houston though. Just a feeling that I have. One thing working in their favor is that Georgia has turned things around. Them continuing to win will help Boise as much as Boise winning out will.

Brazil itself is a mine of good legs. SEC teams should have no problem paying guys from here.
(see what I did there right)

The uni color didn't have anything to do with that fumble nor the missed fg attempt.
