Started investing my perks, and my game and character took off.
Already had enchanted iron boots that adds 35 to my carrying capacity along with the Helm of Yngol, and added Orchish body armor and gauntlets. Upgraded my bow to a Dwarfen bow, so now my archery actually makes a dent. And I've been refining everything like a mother. Had the perk that adds gauntlet armor to unarmed attack power, and invested more perks into heavy armor percentage boosts. Really liking the spells as a way to compliment unarmed, like the fear one of I'm being double teamed, and am now at the wizard college in Winterhold.
Been doing enchanting, but how do I get the full capacity of my enchantments? For example, the Gloves of the Pugilist. I destroyed it to learn it's enchantment, and it says it adds 5 point to unarmed attacking. So I enchant my gauntlets and ring, and it only adds 1 point. I loaded the previous save, invested some perks into enchanting, and tried again. I got the exact same result. Different soul gems didn't work either. Any help?
Anyway, still at Fus Ro, and am currently trying to get to the horn dooby, but I keep getting sidetracked since I'll clear an area, max my capacity, and have to head back to a main hold to make use of my loot.

AND MY BOSS OF A HORSE STILL LIVES!!!!
What soul gem are you using? If you use a grand soul gem you should get the full capability of the enchantment, maybe more.
I got my ass wrecked by giants, ice trolls, and witches last night =(.
Witches aren't so bad if you can get em one on one but 3 or 4 of them from different angles is a *****...specially since my Orc is a close range fighter.

My Skyrim progress has been a little bit slowed because i have to wait for the wife to go to bed before i can play for a few hours (the audio on the tv in the basement is ******). Well, yesterday, i ordered a new 42 inch. Yippee!!!!
I am enjoying the straight up Mage approach. i'm kind of a puss though, since i wear armor to avoid the one hit wolf kills.

I just got Skyrim for Christmas. I'm not a HUGE fan of sandbox games, but I have played and enjoyed some. My question is: Do I keep Skyrim, or do I exchange it for Gears of War or Modern Warfare?
IS SKYRIM GOOD???? :o

Skyrim is outstanding and worth becoming good at. MW3 is the only game that can rival it with hours played and the hours played on Skyrim would be completely different things to keep you interested.
The easiest way to answer is to sum up the game. In Skyrim you will be a part of a fully realistic looking world with decent enough interaction between your character and NPCs. Combat can be really easy if you just light your enemies on fire/sneak arrow attack/or just watch your health. You have healing spells so you should never have to worry about blowing gold on potions. If you like medieval type fake history then this game will blow you away.
If you only want a shooter, then go with MW3 because frankly it should curbstomp other online games with the amount of people online at once and support put into it.

I had never been into RPG games like this. I tried Fallout, hated it. Tried Oblivion, hated it. But Skyrim is spectacular. Stick with Skyrim.
Unfortunately I played 100+ hours of Skyrim too fast and got burned out and haven't played it in days. Only like halfway through the main quest and still have a **** load of side quests but I haven't really been in the mood to play lately (which kinda sucks because I'm on break now). Anyone else go through this?
