I can't see any team trading a first round pick for a RB who's had as many injuries as DMC has had.

Appearing on SiriusXM with Alex Marvez and Jim Miller, Chiefs G.M. Scott Pioli indicated that Crennel wants to run his defense.

Marvez also reports the team will retain defensive backs coach Emmitt Thomas. There were reports the Raiders were interested in Thomas.

The Buccaneers have asked for permission to interview Cardinals WRs coach John McNulty, ostensibly for their offensive coordinator position.
New coach Greg Schiano was hired for "what he is defensively," explained GM Mark Dominik. Schiano is now turning to McNulty, Rutgers coordinator and QBs coach from 2004-2008, to head up the offense. The Cardinals can deny him from interviewing in Tampa, though Ken Whisenhunt isn't expected to stand in the way of an obvious promotion.

The Bears reportedly offered Greg Olson the position of passing game coordinator/QBs coach, only to be turned down.
Olson chose Blaine Gabbert and the Jaguars over Jay Cutler and the Bears, largely because the Jaguars gave him the assistant head coach title and a longer contract. After failing to land Olson, Falcons OC Dirk Koetter, and Titans QBs coach Dowell Loggains, the Bears will turn to Plan D next week.

XTRA 910 Arizona's Mike Jurecki reports former Steelers OC Bruce Arians is expected to accept the same position in Indianapolis.

Jurecki likely has the news because Arians was under consideration to be the Cardinals QBs coach. A notoriously pass-first play-caller, Arians would be an intriguing mentor for presumptive No. 1 pick Stanford QB Andrew Luck. Coincidentally, rumors surfaced Saturday that former Colts coach Jim Caldwell was meeting with Steelers coach Mike Tomlin with regards to replacing Arians.

From what I understand, he was simply let go. His contract wasn't going to get renewed. He then retired. Then I guess he found a new job quickly. I don't know.
