This was my thought.
Bowles just got a DC job, it's just for 2013. In Philly.

Greg Knapp may be back to Oakland. Advance apologies Raiders fans if he gets hired again.

Bowles will be a DC in 2013, but it won't be in Philly. He'll follow Mornhinweg to either Buffalo, Minnesota or Arizona next season.

Chan Gailey isn't going anywhere for a few seasons, methinks. He's made dramatic improvements to that Buffalo team so far, and he has a plan in place. I don't think they'll out him until he's had a chance to bring that full circle. I believe in Chan Gailey, I think he's got an offensive system that works, and that defense has some pieces on it. Too bad they couldn't retain Poz though, he's what that team needs inside.

Has Mornhinweg even received a sniff of an interview about becoming a head coach again?

Yeah, with the Raiders this year. I don't think he was a strong candidate though.

When you lose 8 of your last 9, I think there has to be job security questions going into the next season. Carrying over that type of performance would be inexcusable.
I have pretty big concerns with the offense after the second half of the season, especially when it looks like they could be losing talent rather than adding it. It needs talent at wide receiver if there's going to be continued success, and plenty of good Fitz. The passing schemes were underwhelming and easily defended at a pretty early point in the season. The line and running game were fantastic, but the passing game needs to be reliable for the team to go places.
Poz would be alright, but it's still the nonexistent pass rush that's holding the defense back the most. Sheppard and Barnett are decent pieces at LB. Shepp will be in the middle in our return to base 4-3. We still need another guy outside along with an end (or three) and another corner. Just give me somebody that can get into the backfield to play next to Williams and Dareus.

That might not be a bad idea with Marcel Reece. ;-)

Todd Haley has/is interviewing for the job today. If he gets the job, I wonder who he gets in a screaming match first with.

Always the QB, so Ben. Ben will pull one of his Hulk moves, throwing off two defenders and dragging two more behind him while he side arms a ball to Heath Miller for a crucial first down (which are the only plays Heath Miller knows how to make.)
Then Haley will scream at him because it wasn't the play he called or something...

Didn't he get in an argument with Q and TO? I'd like to see him and Hines go at it if Hines does come back. But that means if Hines even plays.

I'd hate to play for Haley so much. Coaches who just constantly scream are annoying as ****.

I feel like Osi actually would be a decent fit here.

He bulked up to prototypical size to play end, but the coaches were fascinated with standing him up and he often split reps between linebacker and end, usually playing with his hand down in games. He had a couple of notable plays, but had a pretty quiet year rotating in. Was not always as strong as he had to be. Teams liked to test running at him, especially when there was a makeshift linebacker lined up beside him after injuries started to take hold. Best quality has been getting his arms up. Couple of blocks and he's gotten hands on some passes, as well.

Rotational role player at best so far. Hasn't made much of an impact at all and will probably have even less playing time next year with a switch to a 4-3 unless he makes a pretty big leap over the off season and training camp since he doesn't really fit in very well outside of situational packages considering Dareus and Williams will be ahead of him in every situation at DT, not to mention that Spencer Johnson is a better pass rusher for the position, and Dwan Edwards is a better run stuffer if both of them are back again next year, and I'm not convinced he can be an effective LDE outside of obvious rushing situations.

Former Chiefs offensive coordinator Bill Muir has retired.
Muir was informed he wouldn't return as coach Romeo Crennel's coordinator, and was apparently unwilling to accept the demotion to offensive line coach.
