RavenOfProphecy Who are your most overrated prospects in the draft this year? Here are a few that came to mind for me:
RB Montee Ball, Wisconsin*
Lacks great speed and burst; way overrated due to the amount of short touchdown runs he picks up and the quality of Wisconsin's offensive line.
TE Michael Egnew, Missouri
Size and athleticism makes him seem like a mismatch waiting to happen, but frequently has little impact on the events of Missouri's games.
OT D.J. Fluker, Alabama**
Would be very wise to remain in school for another year or two. Hasn't been dominant, even at right tackle. Purely potential at this point.
OT Bobbie Massie, Mississippi*
Massie was getting first-round hype before the season, but hasn't looked anywhere near as good as hyped. Would be lucky to go in the third round.
OG Ryan Miller, Colorado
Overrated due to his height (6'8"), but that seems to work against him as he frequently has trouble getting lower than his opponent. Third round pick.
C Michael Brewster, Ohio St.
Was considered a first-rounder coming into the season but has been surpassed by at least Peter Konz and Ben Jones. Terrible shotgun snapper.
DT Kheeston Randall, Texas
The hype has died down, but he is still found in the second round of some mocks. Invisible for much of the season; would be lucky to go in the third.
DE Donte Paige-Moss, North Carolina*
Gets glued to blocks despite his size, bulk, and arm length. Has been a huge disappointment this year and really needs to return to school.
LB Jonathan Massaquoi, Troy*
Athletic but not worth the first-round spot he's received in some mocks. Lacks size and has trouble locating the ball and disengaging from blockers.
CB Alfonzo Dennard, Nebraska
More of a second-round pick at this point; nowhere near the prospect Amukamara was. Has been exposed and frequently burned this season.
CB Donnie Fletcher, Boston College
Length works against him; has a lot of trouble changing directions and lacks burst. Strictly a zone-cornerback who can't cover quicker receivers.
CB Jayron Hosley, Virginia Tech*
Ball skills were Hosley's calling card last season, but this year he has struggled to make plays at times. Severe lack of size and bulk.
CB Chase Minnifield, Virginia
Was a first or second-round pick coming into the season but has played himself into the third round. Nowhere near as good as Dowling was.
FS Markelle Martin, Oklahoma St.
Long and athletic but doesn't make many plays on the ball and frequently takes poor angles to receivers and ball-carriers. Third or fourth rounder.
SS Ray-Ray Armstrong, Miami (FL)**
Talk about bad angles; Armstrong can be counted on for three or four blown coverages or pursuit angles per game. Desperately needs more time in school.

I agree with most, especially Armstrong, no way he goes out early, is a ghost on the field. Agree with you on Ball, Randall and Egnew as well.
Disagree with you on Fletcher, kid will be a great 3rd or 4th round pick. And Dennard, awesome ball skills and he has really impressed me this season, against Michigan State and other teams he was lights out. And Fluker yes he should go back to school, but doubt he is overrated, kid is a beast and has such a power lower body, that is rare.
Outside of the few you mentioned...
Landry Jones- I think that guy is pretty overrated, yes he is accurate and puts up great statistics in college but what quarterback doesn't on Oklahoma. Ok if Sam Bradford is looking pretty average in the NFL, what are the chances Jones looks any better? Sure fine backup but doubt he will be some teams franchise quarterback for years to come.
