Default Most Overrated prospects?

Who are your most overrated prospects in the draft this year? Here are a few that came to mind for me:

RB Montee Ball, Wisconsin*

Lacks great speed and burst; way overrated due to the amount of short touchdown runs he picks up and the quality of Wisconsin's offensive line.

TE Michael Egnew, Missouri

Size and athleticism makes him seem like a mismatch waiting to happen, but frequently has little impact on the events of Missouri's games.

OT D.J. Fluker, Alabama**

Would be very wise to remain in school for another year or two. Hasn't been dominant, even at right tackle. Purely potential at this point.

OT Bobbie Massie, Mississippi*

Massie was getting first-round hype before the season, but hasn't looked anywhere near as good as hyped. Would be lucky to go in the third round.

OG Ryan Miller, Colorado

Overrated due to his height (6'8"), but that seems to work against him as he frequently has trouble getting lower than his opponent. Third round pick.

C Michael Brewster, Ohio St.

Was considered a first-rounder coming into the season but has been surpassed by at least Peter Konz and Ben Jones. Terrible shotgun snapper.

DT Kheeston Randall, Texas

The hype has died down, but he is still found in the second round of some mocks. Invisible for much of the season; would be lucky to go in the third.

DE Donte Paige-Moss, North Carolina*

Gets glued to blocks despite his size, bulk, and arm length. Has been a huge disappointment this year and really needs to return to school.

LB Jonathan Massaquoi, Troy*

Athletic but not worth the first-round spot he's received in some mocks. Lacks size and has trouble locating the ball and disengaging from blockers.

CB Alfonzo Dennard, Nebraska

More of a second-round pick at this point; nowhere near the prospect Amukamara was. Has been exposed and frequently burned this season.

CB Donnie Fletcher, Boston College

Length works against him; has a lot of trouble changing directions and lacks burst. Strictly a zone-cornerback who can't cover quicker receivers.

CB Jayron Hosley, Virginia Tech*

Ball skills were Hosley's calling card last season, but this year he has struggled to make plays at times. Severe lack of size and bulk.

CB Chase Minnifield, Virginia

Was a first or second-round pick coming into the season but has played himself into the third round. Nowhere near as good as Dowling was.

FS Markelle Martin, Oklahoma St.

Long and athletic but doesn't make many plays on the ball and frequently takes poor angles to receivers and ball-carriers. Third or fourth rounder.

SS Ray-Ray Armstrong, Miami (FL)**

Talk about bad angles; Armstrong can be counted on for three or four blown coverages or pursuit angles per game. Desperately needs more time in school.

Great list. I'd throw Whitney Mercilus in there too.

LaMichael James -- will not translate to the NFL. His offense produces wide open running lanes, and he usually only has to make on man miss for those huge gains. Too small and nothing jaw dropping athletically.

Alshon Jeffery -- fat.

LaMichael James- Never been a fan, just a system back who happens to put up numbers, because Oregon has that "Fun N Gun" attack. Not a 3 down back at the next level, would not touch him until the 3rd Round.

Stephon Gilmore- Went from being a Top 15 guy in the draft to completely disappearing off draft boards. This guy MUST stay in school another year.

Alshon Jeffrey- I just see bust material written all over him. I do not see him being in shape similar to Mike Williams.

Jeff Fuller- Guys were raving before the season, but I really don't see what all the fuss was about.

I agree with this 100%. He's not much of a factor in the running game, and I was not impressed at all during the Wisconsin game.

I have to disagree with Montee Ball being overrated. It's easy to give all the credit to the guy on the line and they are very good but Ball is a different back than what the Badgers have had recently. He does it all and is more quick than he is fast.

NT Alameda Ta'amu NT, Washington

A nice late 2nd to 3rd round option, that is getting 1st round talk.

Vontaze Burfict, LB, ASU
I do not get the hype on this guy. He hits a ton, but his tackling is sloppy. Not instinctive or fluid. A two down 3-4 ILB with limitations.

Definitely have to add Vontaze Burfict and Jerel Worthy to this list.

Two busts-in-waiting.

Alshon Jeffery WR SC:
Looks like an out of shape TE

Dre Kirkpatrick CB Alabama:
Don't see the 1st round play at all. Sure he has the size, but speedy WR's will eat him alive in the NFL.

Jonathan Martin OT Stanford:
Not even the best o-lineman on his own team. Not sure why so many consider him a top 5-10 talent. I wouldn't touch him until the end of round 1.

Saying he's not the best o-lineman on his team isn't really that much of an insult if that's what you were going for. DeCastro is an absolute stud. Martin is a very good player in his own right though.

how has Quinton Coples not been mentioned, for a guy who is supposedly a top 15 pick he plays like a late rounder

Coples and Ta'amu, both are physically impressive and have great potential, but neither play close to their perceived value, at least not from what I've seen of them.

I disagree with you 100% on CB Donnie Fletcher from Boston College. This guy is more underrated. He has fluid hips, can play both man and zone, and has good ball skills and good open field tackler.

Compare him to Brandon Flowers/Dre Bly. Whoever gets him will get a solid number 2 CB.

It saddens me to say this since I was one of his biggest fans but Tannehill should be on the overrated list. He isn't worthy of a first round selection, I still think a team would be justified by grabbing him in the mid 2nd or 3rd round. He did not make the jump I was hoping he would make, granted he is raw as a qb but he turned the ball over to much. Just a disappointing senior campaign IMO. I do not blame him for the 6-6 record though, I believe they should be at least 8-4. Sherman is a garbage coach and that defense get up many double digit leads in the second half. Big Bird if you read this...I yield to you

I have read that some are saying Reiff is looked at very positively by scouts. I think he has jumped Martin as the number 2 OT after Kalil.

I haven't been overly impressed by Jonathan Martin this year. His feet and his athletic ability are being overrated quite a bit. He seems like a guy who should be more of a Top 25 pick opposed the the top 10 or top 5 talent where some are projecting him to go.

The #2 OT after Kalil should be Mike Adams

Reiff is looked at positively because he is so damn versatile and he hasn't been horrible but not a solid year. Not saying he will be a bust he just isn't probably in the top 3 of OT this draft.

Still watch for him to get drafted before some of the other guys due to his versatility, I really see the Jets taking him regardless of whose left
