Might as well turn the LSU/Georgia game off too it's going to get ugly. Go Christmas shopping you'll feel better.

Just got even uglier. McCoy tossed up another duck to the endzone and got picked off.

You'd think in the whole state of Texas they could come up with a great QB (ever) and i dont mean someone named McCoy either.

They've signed a bunch of "top" QBs over the past few years. Either their talent evaluation sucks or their development sucks or both.
Mack needs to retire.

They let Jevan Snead get away (he was good at one point) and they couldnt corrall the Drew Brees and Matt Stafford types so i'm not sure what they're doing right down there.

Today? He had a bit of an off game by his standards. Just wasn't as efficient as he has been for most of the year. He didn't need to be though...nor did he have to opportunities to. Baylor was playing with short fields all day thanks to Texas turnovers. On the year, I don't know how you can walk away without being impressed by what he's done. Throw the legs out the window and you've still got an absolutely special quarterback because of his touch, accuracy, footwork within the pocket, and anticipation. His arm isn't as strong as some of the guys who went high in last years class, but he's in that Christian Ponder "more than good enough" kind of category. When he really rears back and let's it rip, he can get it into tight spaces too.

Rivals had him as a 4* and 4th positionally. Scout had him as a 5* and 4th positionally. Thats what I just saw when I looked it up so they might have been different in the past though.

No, they don't change that stuff. Luck wasn't some super sought after guy, but he was certainly on the national recruiting radar.

He was highly rated by the recruiting services, but for whatever reason his offer list didn't match-up.

Texas didn't recruit Luck because they had gotten a verbal commitment from Garrett Gilbert his junior year and they still had Colt.
Jevan Snead transferred out because Colt was the starter. Clearly that was the correct move.
I think they completely butchered the Gilbert situation and they didn't properly develop him. Case McCoy is awful, and he's on the team mostly because of the awfulness of the other qbs and as a kind gesture to the McCoys.
Considering how they went from Simms/Applewhite, to Vince, to Colt, this is the first time in a long time that Texas is having Qb issues because of a lack of talent. It will change soon though.

LSU's eighth stringers are slapping around Georgia. More than a little sad.

That playoff system they just proposed was stupid. You cannot have a playoff without every conference champion getting in. Easiest solution is the champion of each conference gets in with five at large.

I think Luck was in the mid 60's on Rivals as a recruit.

I don't understand why they put him back in when the team was doing so well with Lee. Craig Krenzel was dog ****, too.
