Top WR?

As of right now, Blackmon is regarded as the top WR prospect. With Floyd having another great year and shooting up draft boards, is it possible that he will surpass Blackmon come draft day?

Personally I think if he runs anything under a 4.5 at the combine he's a lock to be the #1 receiver off the board. Even if he runs in the low 4.5s, which is more likely, I think he's still got a shot.

What are your thoughts?

Justin Blackmon is #1 simply because Floyd has a poor injury history.

To say nothing of the character flaws... personally I like Blackmon a lot more as an all around reciever at the next level but that's just me.

I have Floyd as my #1 guy right now. Injuries and off the field incidents are certainly a concern but I see a guy with elite body control and hands, great size and good speed.

I think Michael Floyd could be somewhere in between Larry Fitzgerald and Marques Coulston as a pro.

Blackmon to me needs to go to the right offense. I think he is very much like Greg Jennings. He will be a very good YAC WR but not necessarily a true dominant #1. In the right system he could be extremely successful.

On the field, Michael Floyd is the best WR in this draft. But when you consider Floyd's injuries and off the field issue, it's hard not to go with Blackmon as the No. 1 guy.

Blackmon will go first, but I think Floyd is the better player.

This is certainly the reason Floyd will never pass Blackmon even though he may well be the better prospect.

I've been riding the Michael Floyd bandwagon since last season, when I had him rated above Julio and Blackmon and only slightly below AJ Green. I've said time and time again that he has the best body control and positioning I've seen in long time. I do worry about his long speed, but he's just so physical and has such great YAC ability. Floyd is going to be a very good WR in the NFL methinks.

I love Blackmon too, honestly. I think he's one of the more polished receivers we've seen come out in a while. He runs some really crisp routes and again, he's a real physical player.

As others have said, I think I'd personally prefer Floyd but Blackmon will go higher come draft day.

for me Blackmon is still the best receiver in the draft with Dwight Jones being extremely close behind

Floyd has the big catch ability that I just don't see in Blackmon. He has the vertical, body control, and hands to make plays on jump balls that Blackmon just doesn't have. Really, the only advantages Blackmon has on Floyd are speed and route running. Floyd has far superior hands. Blackmon makes way too many catches in close to his body whereas Floyd snatches the ball out of the air. Floyd is much more physical with the football and as a blocker. He is the best blocking receiver I've seen come out in a long time and doesn't really get too much recognition for it.

As for who's name is called first, It all depends on how Floyd runs and interviews at the combine. If he can prove he has the speed and that his DUI days are behind him, he will be the 1st receiver drafted. Also keep in mind that his hometown team will be sitting there near the top of the draft with a huge need for a big, physical receiver if he proves he is worth that high of a pick.

Im not sure I'd put Floyd over Julio as a blocker but he is way above average. One play that stood out to me against Stanford was when they were down 3 scores with not much time left and Notre Dame ran a sweep(I think) to his side and he just man handled the CB and blocked him out of bounds.

I also loved the hustle he showed on the INT return when he ran the CB down from behind.
