I'm trying to think of the last great Notre Dame pro prospect other than Brady Quinn. I'm probably forgetting someone obvious...but who was it?

I just looked it up and unless you want to count Jeff Faine or Luke Petigout (I don't,) it was probably Bryant Young.
In 1994.
Floyd is their only shot this year from the looks of it.

Golden Tate and Clausen were 2nd rounders. Tim Brown maybe? Mirer?

I really wish Manti Te'o would declare. He'd be the first LB off the board, no doubt in my mind.

He certainly didn't get the play he deserved around here. With Burfict taking a step back this year, he well could have. Kuechly is quite good as well, but Te'o makes far more impact plays.

I was only joking with Holliday but you did forget Justin Tuck. I know he was a 3rd rounder but that was more because of injury concerns which are somewhat true. He had the physical talent and on the field production to be a 1st rounder. I remember being shocked when he fell to the 3rd and we got him.

If it's any consolation, jeff smardjiza was projected as a late first rounder before he chose baseball.

Floyd could have pulled that in. Tough catch, but that's one he usually makes too.

Tough catch? It dropped perfectly into his hands and he just dropped it.

The coverage was pretty close behind him and he had to run to get it. I wouldn't call it a routine play or anything. Tough might be a strong word though. Certainly one you expect a player of his caliber to pull in and probably the one good throw Rees made tonight.

Nigel Bradham is a beast. He's had a great game thus far. I've been thoroughly impressed by him. He's definitely improving his draft stock in my eyes.
Edit: That Slaughter kid from ND has also caught my eye. And he's a senior. I want him on the Eagles.
