The Official One And Only Super Mega Amazing Christmas Food Thread
I figured this needed it's own thread. Discuss what you will have, how you will make it, and whether or not you will be able to move after you eat. Pictures are welcome, in fact, condoned.
Discuss.

I mentioned it in the other thread, but my brother is making a smoked turkey, which is the best turkey I have ever had. He is also smoking a prime rib. My sister and wife don't really liked smoked food so I'm buying a huge ribeye steak and grilling it up. I love ribeye. My wife makes delicious deserts, usually a Oreo cheesecake and English trifle.
Christmas Eve I'm going to a place in Jacksonville called Metro Diner. It was on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives a while back. They have chicken & waffles which includes a leg, thigh, wing, and breast of the best fried chicken I have ever had and delicious strawberry butter. Pictures will come soon. I swear I'm going to gain 20 pounds on my Christmas vacation.

You know, i've heard a ton of good things about Chicken and Waffles yet i've never tried them. I don't think any place down here has any :/
Would i get the same experience if i went to Church's Chicken for a a two piece, then came back and made some Eggo waffles? -_-

No you would not. Go to whatever place near you has the best fried chicken and then make a real Belgian waffle. It won't be the real experience, but that's as close as you're going to get.

I will be preparing the X-Mas meal for my family. I'll be making a ham (never done that before... any suggestions?), cheesey potatoes, baked corn, calico beans, and various appetizers.
A good, boring MN dinner. ;)

Chives, pineapple (make them look all pretty) and use a cooking bag. If you plan on adding a glaze, remove the bag then add the glaze and cook another 20 30 minutes. If you don't add a glaze, add a small amount of salt and do the same thing.
