Brian Quick, WR, Appalachian State
Where is the love? Does he not remind you of AJ Green or what? Coincidentally, Quick grew up in South Carolina and played high school basketball just like Green.

Love him. I think he has the highest ceiling of any WR in the draft. I asked jbscouting about him on twitter, he said that he expects Quick to go in the 35-45 range but that he would take Quick as high as 20-30.

Like him in the 2nd but he's no where near AJ Green as a prospect or a player.

Dude is a LEGIT red-zone target. He just has a natural, instinctive feel for how to high-point the ball. I don't know how high I would take him at this point (really looking forward to seeing how he times), but he definitely has red-zone value.
I watch a ton of SoCon football, and I can honestly say that I am ecstatic to finally see this guy graduate so he can stop killing my Eagles.

Just give him to Jacksonville in the 2nd your mocks. I can see Gene Smith's boner for him from here.

Can you give your reasons?
Quick looks thicker up top, so hopefully he can stay healthier than Green has been.

VS Elon University

2:10 Nice job on a low throw.
2:50 Notice he has the awareness to get TWO feet down even though you only need ONE in college
4:21 Again tries to get two feet down for the completion

He will have to prove himself at the Combine to get into round 1 or round 2 discussions. Till then he is just another raw talented kid from a lower level of football.

Looks athletic. Can't really see anything outside of that from video. Give up a 5th rounder on him.
Route running, body control, jam, blocking, non of that is in the tape. He won't go in the first or second round just based on the guys in front of him.

Here he is showing off his vertical and body control with some dunks. How many NFL wide receivers can do this?

Green has just taken some huge shots from lobs from Dalton. Quick is going to be a damn good player but Green had 3 years of quality production in the best conference in Football and he's an athletic freak.
Quick looks more like Burress than anyone.

He reminds me a lot of Brandon Marshall in that he can go up and get the ball and has very strong hands. His timed speed will really be the key for him to move up into round 2 range.

How'd he end up at App State??
Just playing devil's advocate, but Ramses Barden looked like a future NFL stud against lower level competition in college too.

Yea I was thinking that one too. But Quick's got a lower center of gravity and has better moves after the catch.
If Quick has a Marques Colston type impact, I'd take that. He didn't have eye-popping production in Div 1-AA Hofstra and look what he's done in the NFL.

Wondering the same thing too. Was right in the SEC's backyard.
Let's not write off Barden so quickly. Guy hasn't been healthy for much of the last three seasons. Also, he's behind a pretty good core of WR's. So we may never get to see what he can do. Unless Manningham isn't re-signed.
Besides, it's easy to dominate in college when you're 6-6, 230. See Mike Williams and Alshon Jeffrey.

Probably grades coming out of HS. That's usually the reason.

This made me laugh, because Gene Smith's new mantra of drafting only small school prospects is the most insanely ******** evil plan of all time.

He only played a year of high school ball, didn't get a D1 scholarship.
