LSU next year...
Like many already know, LSU will be fine. I am a huge Alabama fan and I am glad that they easily won the National Title over a very good LSU team, the best team won that game and they deserve to be the National Champs.
However next year, LSU will be completely fine and probably back in the National Title game. Like I said earlier in the season, look at this sick sophomore class, in the middle of the season they are arguably the best sophomore class in the nation and in the end of the season it is almost without question.
Seriously the list of players below would be a fine roster for some teams, this is just their current sophomore class soon to be junior class. They will be more than ok next season, and return arguably one of the most talented defensive lines in the country only losing one really fine player in Kendrick Adams. Let us not even mention the running backfield which easily goes three deep just with sophomores.
2011 LSU sophomore class.
QB Zach Mettenberger
RB Spencer Ware, Michael Ford, Alfred Blue
FB J.C. Copeland
OT Chris Faulk
OT Chris Davenport
DE Barkevious Mingo
DT Bennie Logan
DT Michael Brockers
DE Sam Montgomery
OLB Lamin Barrow
ILB Kevin Minter
CB Tyrann Mathieu
CB Tharold Simon
SS Eric Reid
They will reload and will be back...

I'm excited to see Zach Mettenberger. LSU got to the title game with Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson. There is no way Mettenberger can be worse than those guys. The biggest loss, in my opinion, is Morris Claiborne. I felt he, and not Mathieu, was the best player on that defense.
Right now, I'd probably put LSU at 3 behind USC and Georgia. Looking at the schedule, Georgia has the inside track. In non-conference, they play Buffalo, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, and Georgia Tech, all at home. LSU's out of conference schedule is a also a cupcake. Georgia avoids all the top teams from the West while LSU faces South Carolina and Florida. but in the end, all that matters is who wins the SEC Championship between those two. Chances are, that team will go to the BCS National Championship game.

Expect guys like La'El Collins, Ego Ferguson & Craig Loston to also have expanded roles & Jarvis Landry & Odell Beckham will be solid wideouts.

Will be interesting to see what happens to the QB situation with Gunner Kiel coming in. If Metternberger is the QB then Kiel would have to sit for two years. Something tells me that isnt going to happen.

The loss of Brockers won't be easy to replace either.

Anthony Johnson replaces Brockers and he might be better.
