Baltimore Raven mishaps
I feel Bmore lost off these key factors alone
1. Heading into half down 3 under 60sec rather then call both timeouts to force a punt on 4th they let Brady milk them dry.
2. Flacco did not capitalize on redzone situation off turnover.
BTW don't be surprised if Eddie Reed & Ray Lewis announce retirement in press conference.

There is a conference championship thread. Why is this necessary?

1. Edleman punching Anquan Boldin in the head in the final drive when Boldin was down and out of bounds was not called.
2. Sterling Moore holding on to Pitta's ***** goes uncalled.

This can easily be discussed in the CC thread.
Please don't cause me anymore pain by making a new thread about it.
BOE I respect you... but regardless of calls/no calls. We lost the game. Fair and square.
Shylo... Ray pretty much said he was staying even if they won a SB and Reed has said that he probably has 4-5 more years in him although he said he would rather retire sooner than later (I'm assuming he want's a ring first)

Call me crazy, but I think the Evans drop and the Cundiff missed field goal were the two biggest factors. Ground breaking, I know.

Flacco underthrowing a wide open Torrey Smith.
Torrey Smith stopping for a second on that one Joe Flacco deep throw.
Joe Flacco INT.
Calling that stupid draw.
The drop ball by Lee Evans.
Not calling a timeout for Billy.
Billy choking.

Lee was very depressing, but that FG was a chip shot all day for my HS kicker.

I couldn't disagree more. 1 reason why they lost. The ******* kicker. Defense played out of their minds, Flacco didn't mess anything up, but the kicker ruined it. I have no problem going into halftime only down 3 vs the Patriots. That was a good call. Flacco doesn't deserve to be called out for losing this game. He stepped up and made a few nice throws and was pretty solid the whole game.

I think this is getting less recognition than it deserves. They should have absolutely called a TO there, no reason to hurry such an important play.

I have no respect for kickers. He sits on the bench or warms up on the sidelines all game for this opportunity. He should be ready. If not, then he can call a time out himself.
*I do agree that would have been a genius coaching move, but he still should have hit it.

Maybe a little nitpicky but I thought when the Ravens went for it on 4th down in the 4th quarter Joe should not have thrown the ball OB. Yeah he was being pressured but it's 4th down, try to get away and make a play if you are sacked or throw an INT, whatever, it's 4th down anyway.
Also, perhaps nitpicking again, on 3rd and 1 at the end of the game with 15 seconds and a TO, he could have run for the first, taken the timeout and taken a shot or two into the endzone. If it doesn't work out, kick the FG.
Those were my thoughts during the game, maybe I'm just being too harsh on Flacco, whatever...

It wouldn't really have been icing since he wasn't in a position to get ready for the kick. Not like a team has never called a TO before they tried a FG before.

not ice him but give him a chance to get set up. They were rushing to get the kick team on the field and them ready

Kickers usually at least claim that they appreciate the timeout. It gives them time to calm-down and focus, apparently.

Icing the kicker is a myth and a stupid one at that.
