It really is weird how Blackmon is considered a consensus top 10 pick when of those other guys were. I like Blackmon and think he will be a good player don't get me wrong, but is he really better than any of those guys regardless of college production? I know Dez was thought of as a top 5 talent and probably would have went that high if he didn't get suspended and had character concerns. I know it is also hard to judge now because we think of those guys and their NFL success.

But it still raises the question.. why is Blackmon such a consensus top 10 pick. I know he is good, but he also produced in a spread offense in the big 12, with a QB who would be a first round pick if he wasn't 28 years old.

I'm not a Blackmon hater, just something to think about.

Love Blackmon but Michael Floyd will be the superior talent in the NFL

TY Hilton ran a 4.34 forty today. IMO he's a top 50 selection.

Hakeem Nicks was drafted late incorrectly. He obviously should have been taken much higher. The guy is a great receiver...

Same with Dez. He fell because he's an idiot.

In this class, with no front-seven defensive studs, there aren't many prospects better than Blackmon. So he'll go high. It's really that simple. Each class is different.

Booyah. Can we start throwing out lots of Desean Jackson comparisons now?

No, TY is a better Receiver than Desean, he can actually run more than one route.

Also, the needs of the teams in the top 10 are different this year. Look at the teams picking top 10 that are absolutely desperate for a WR. St. Louis, Minnesota, Cleveland, Tampa Bay, Washington, and Jacksonville all need a #1 guy, and Blackmon fits the profile. Plus this isn't really a top heavy draft this year so a guy like Blackmon who everybody is pretty confident will be a 1000 yard type receiver in the NFL is pushed up to the top.

Husky pro day featured a couple of guys that should get a fairly early call. Alameda Taamu didnt run a 40 but showed good footwork in drills and came in at a svelt 345.

Chris Polk ran a couple of sub-4.5 40s on what is a pretty fast track at the Husky facilites. He also looked good catching passes from some bearded guy. I think that guy plays QB for some team in Tennessee.

ESPN3 is going to stream the Stanford proday! Now I don't have to drive 15 to see if they will let me watch.

Yes, TY Hilton is the best slot reciever/returner in the draft.
He should realistically go in the 3rd round

I agree he is the top talent at WR in this draft....but you wouldn't know it with where he is drafted because of his character and injury concerns.

I think some teams - specifically Cleveland - could/will pass on Blackmon in the top 5 because they know they can get an equal talent in the second half of the first round in Floyd or Wright.

LOL @ Kendall Wright being an equivalent talent to Blackmon. Floyd I'll give you because I can see a legitimate argument for it, but Wright is significantly lower on my BB then Blackmon would be. I get what you're saying as far as value is concerned, but Blackmon's bust factor is so, so, so much lower then Wright's IMO.

Pittsburgh CB, Buddy Jackson had a huge pro day, running a 4.35 40.
He's over 6 feet tall, so the potential is always there, he's a round 4 type guy

For those looking for a late round LB, Nate Stupar (his brother played TE for the Bills for a couple years) ran in the mid 4.5s today at Penn State's pro day. He also led all LBs at the combine in the three-cone drill.

Kirk Cousins had a really good pro day...he is rising as the draft approaches. I think he is number 4 behind Tannehill. Like others have said I think he is the Dalton of this draft - just a real polished, intelligent prospect and a leader. He pretty much ran the whole pro day for the offense per the reports I have been hearing.

He only started one game for Pittsburgh, so getting drafted will be tough.

I fully agree, in fact if Wright doesn't run a significantly faster 40 at his pro day, he's likely to fall considerably on draft day all the way out of round 1.

Yeah. He's a head case. Tangibles through the roof but every time he played he'd either make a wrong read and get burned, fumble a return, or get a huge penalty.

Terribly frustrating.

Great clay to mold, however.

a lot of people think Wright is the top WR in the draft. I like Floyd more, but I could see it.

I expect us to pay a lot of attention to this kid. He seems to fit every thing we tend to do when drafting and he actually looks like a good prospect.I'd prefer Brooks in the 3rd over Glenn at #13. People can talk all they want about Glenn being a pro bowl guard but a lot of pro bowl guards weren't first round picks and zero were top 15. Jahri Evans, Carl Nicks, ect.

Michigan St. DT Jerrell Worthy impressed @ his pro day, benching 28 times.
