I can't say I understand this in the slightest, but it just reminds me why I love the NFL so much.

If this means they can't sign Williams or Jackson it's a really stupid trade for Chicago. Great news for the Chargers though, our chances of bringing back V-Jax just went up quite a bit.

That is ridiculous. I can't believe the Dolphins traded away their only legit receiving threat.

Sooooo I guess they think they can get Justin Blackmon at 8? Michael Floyd seems very similar to Brandon Marshall, no idea why they'd toss him out just to draft Floyd.

This is great for the Bears IMO and terrible for the Dolphins.

The dolphins must like someone in the draft or in free agency.

I'll just assume they cleared that #1 WR spot for Reggie Wayne, in order to make Peyton want to sign.. but that's a pretty dumb idea.

**** AND YES!
Pretty much the best case scenario for the Bears. He already has chemistry with Cutler, they like each other just fine in the locker room, and we didn't overpay. In fact, we underpaid.

Even then trading away Brandon Marshall just to get another guy in the draft is dumb. Reminds me of when Seattle traded Julian Peterson to take Aaron Curry at No.4. Worked out very well for us.

Well maybe with the money that Brandon Marshall was making, they can sign a FA WR and also nab a WR in the draft.
Contract:

Thats a lot of money tied up in only one receiving threat, and with so many receivers in the draft and in FA, this might not be a bad move by the dolphins.
Edit:
And if this is what make Manning sign with them, this isn't a bad move for them at all.
I'd assume they add Manning, Clark, and Wayne, probably someone else in FA or the draft at WR.

That's the thought coming from Miami beat guys. Go sign Wayne now, one last major push for Manning.

Marshall's still a good player, but not as good as he was a few years ago. Plus he's not exactly the red-zone threat that Chicago needs. I'm biased but I'd rather have VJ at that cap number, or Lloyd at a lower cap number.

I think there are 2 reasons, 1) your right on about Wayne and maybe Garcon as well. 2) Marshall is a cancer in the dressing room and Manning was making it clear, he wouldn't sign with him on the team.
