Holy crap...So cunty TWICE? Because I dared be ignorant (if that's what you can call not acting as if Paea/Melton is some kind of super unit) of your team's draft needs? God I now hope that team craps the bed on draft day and then the season.

That's not even touching that it's highly unlikely you're getting championship caliber performance from two mid-round DTs, one who has never even started one game in the NFL and doesn't even have any major (for the NFL) physical attributes (unless he truly is *that* strong).

F'n yuuuuuuuuuuuuuch...Just a rude little girl...As if the Bears are so loaded on the DL that they'd realistically pass up on the main three DT talents in the first. They'd be lucky if one fell to them in the first place...

What are you talking about? You clearly have never seen these guys play and are just speaking in vague generalizations. Stop talking about things you know nothing about.

Read somewhere (so it must be true) that Indy has their guy for the #1 pick but not willing to reveal it. Let me just say that if the Colts take anyone but Luck you are going to see the fastest dash to the podium by a Redskins rep in the history of the draft.

Dude Paea was just drafted last f'n year. If his pro ceiling was reflected by his last college season, his combine, or even last year's finish then maybe you know...he would have went in the first...or made a start on a team that isn't exactly loaded with DTs...You know...something. Not to mention the undersized NT with short arms isn't exactly the in thing in the NFL.

POSSIBLY...and I'm just shoving this out there...just maaaaaybe you're overrating the talent currently on your team. Crazy, I know, because fans don't pull that kind of crap, but perhaps this may be one of those instances.

Paea didnt start by title only. He played more snaps at NT then any other NT on our team in the 2nd half of the season. He's the prototype for a Tampa 2 NT.

You've clearly havent watched a single Bears games from last season and I've watched every one. All you're doing is making assumptions based on having zero actual knowledge. Just stop talking before you make yourself look even worse.

That would be a solid pick up. Not sure how I feel about it in the 2nd round though.

Brad Biggs tweet: Brad Biggs

Who will #Bears draft in 1st round? One scout I trust is 2 for 2 with their picks the last 2 years. Pegged Major Wright in ’10 and Gabe Carimi in ’11. So, I texted him and asked who he project as Phil Emery’s first pick as GM? He responded, "Quinton Coples if he falls!" If the UNC defensive end doesn’t fall he offered a backup plan. Says Clemson DE Andre Branch would be good fit and likely pick by Bears. Remember, this guy nailed 75th overall pick in 2010 and 29th pick last year. We’ll see soon.

I also nailed the pick last year, have been hearing Coples will far, and have been pegging him to the Bears...

If Coples is off the board, they also love Whitney Mercilus.

Can't believe that Trent Baalke said there is "one player" that could be there at #30 and if he is he "will" be the pick.

Said that he's been high on "the player" since "early Fall."

HAH!!

And if that happened, the Redskins entourage would all need new boxers.

Yeah, the Carimi pick was pretty obvious to a lot of people. I'm not going to give the guy too much credited for that one.

The whole world new that pick was coming. It was also known that they were going with a DB in the 3rd the year before. Mainly a safety. Once GB swooped in and took Burnett that was an easy pick too.

No one really knows what Emery is going to do. We also dont have any glaring needs.

Kiper just matched up Akiem Hicks, from Regina (Canada), with the Saints 3rd Rounder... He must be flying up draft boards...

Last week I was looking into this guy and I mocked him to the Browns with a 6th Round Choice. The more I read up on him, the more I hope the Browns pick this guy, and trade up if they have to in the 4th Round to get him....

At 6-5, 318 this guy is athletic, huge and strong. He is extremely raw, but he dominated up in Canada without technique. Good developmental pick for a team with two solid defensive tackles entrenched as starters.

The 49ers are lucky to be in love with a player like that, because the back end of this first round isn't better (or much better) than the middle of the second. It's a very strong second and third round, IMO, but there will be over 10 first rounders who shouldn't be top 32 picks.

Please do that Chicago!!!!!

Makes 100% sense. Guys like that are too hard to find. He may be a first rounder given the below average first round class we have.

Part of me hopes they take Michael Floyd that high. Part of me thinks that they are just hoping to scare someone into trading up. I have to believe neither happens.

I wouldn't trade up at all.

They have a need at LT, RB, WR, and CB. Unless they know something bad, at least one of those guys will be available. You could argue they could trade down and still get a premium player if Floyd is viewed in league circles in a negative light.

This was my confusion with that tweet.

How do you go from Coples, which I understand, to Andre Branch who seems like a 3-4 OLB.

I get Branch has incredible speed and dip but he does not seem to have the power to play with his hand down.

He definitely needs to bulk up but he has room to grow. You cant teach that motor. I personally wouldnt prefer him at #19 but DE is our biggest need.

Report: Reiff may slip to late 1st or 2nd rd

Sources tell Sporting News' Russ Lande that NFL teams are not nearly as high on Iowa OT Riley Reiff as the media, and that Reiff could fall "toward the bottom of the first round" or even into the second.

It would be a fall similar to Reiff's former Iowa teammate Bryan Bulaga, who was widely projected as a top-ten or even top-five pick before the Packers stole him at No. 23. (Bulaga is now one of the league's premier right tackles.) Per Lande, NFL teams question Reiff's athleticism, and it's no secret he has relatively short arms. We're still not so sure he'd get by Arizona at No. 13.

Here is another.....and I believe this

Quote:
NFL Network's Jason La Canfora suggests that the Rams could throw the first "major curveball" of next week's draft, by selecting Mississippi State DT Fletcher Cox.
Picks 1-5 are tentatively expected to be Andrew Luck (Colts), Robert Griffin (Redskins), Matt Kalil (Vikings), Trent Richardson (Browns), and Morris Claiborne (Buccaneers). "And it says here Fletcher Cox is the guy for the Rams," writes La Canfora. St. Louis would be selecting Cox over Justin Blackmon in this scenario. It's an idea that certainly shouldn't be ruled out.
