Silatolu, Hosley or a pass rusher are probably more likely.

My gut says Silatolu, but Baalke is surprising.

He's certainly on his way.

As a Packer fan, I would be elated to see Chicago take Andre Branch at 19.

Stephen Hill, the Georgia Tech wide receiver who caught just 28 passes last season in a run-first option offense, but averaged an eye-popping 29.3 yards a catch and put on a show at the Scouting Combine, is one of the most intriguing prospects in this year’s NFL draft. One of the intrigued teams resides in Jacksonville.

Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reports, citing unnamed sources, that Hill is a player to keep an eye on in projecting the Jaguars’ picks.

The problem, however, is that the Jaguars may not be in a position to draft Hill. Their first-round pick, No. 7, is too high for Hill, and he’ll probably be off the board before their second-round pick, No. 38.

That’s where the Jaguars’ talk of trading down comes into play. Jacksonville General Manager Gene Smith has said repeatedly that the Jaguars are open to calls from anyone who wants to move up to No. 7. If they do trade down, Hill may be the player they’re targeting.

Trading up is going to be a lot easier then trading down.

I could honestly see the Bears trading up if there is a sellers market at the top of the draft.

They have been filling holes and depth positions without draft picks.

After Buddy Nix's draft luncheon yesterday, many members of the sports media in Buffalo feel that the Bills will take Gilmore, Kuechly, or Kirkpatrick at 10 (if they stay there).

NFL Network's Jason La Canfora suggests that the Rams could throw the first "major curveball" of next week's draft, by selecting Mississippi State DT Fletcher Cox.
Picks 1-5 are tentatively expected to be Andrew Luck (Colts), Robert Griffin (Redskins), Matt Kalil (Vikings), Trent Richardson (Browns), and Morris Claiborne (Buccaneers). "And it says here Fletcher Cox is the guy for the Rams," writes La Canfora. St. Louis would be selecting Cox over Justin Blackmon in this scenario. It's an idea that certainly shouldn't be ruled out. Report: Kendall Wright getting 3rd-rd grades

According to Pro Football Weekly, Baylor WR Kendall Wright is "parked in the third round" on a number of teams' draft boards after an unimpressive offseason.
There were rumors of an offseason weight gain for Wright, and his forty time at the Combine was slower than anticipated. "Randall Cobb was a lot better," one NFL evaluator said. "Wright is nowhere near as good with the ball in his hands and (Cobb) lasted 'til the back of the second (round). People are getting snookered (by Wright)." Wright managed only four bench-press reps, and Pro Football Weekly reports his body fat was 16 percent. Per PFW, it's "one of the highest percentages for a receiver in the past decade."

4 reps and 16% body fat... that is not good for a guy who's an undersized speed receiver and is supposed to be getting rave reviews for character.

Young/relative unknown player on said team having a solid year = 'best at his position' to homers.

So, if the Rams do in fact go after Fletcher Cox, who grabs up Blackmon? I guess the real question is, who's gonna slide? Blackmon or Tannehill?

I know I'll be stoned for saying this, but I really don't think it's absurd for the Jags to take Hill with the 7th overall pick. I think he's got the legitimate NFL talent to be a 1st WR in that offense.

Blackmon gets stiffed, as in stiff middle finger from the Rams.

The J-ville up next can choose from among Blackmon, Hill or Floyd, an embarrassment of riches!

Young/relative unknown player on said team having a solid year = 'best at his position' to homers.
Stat wise he was one of the best. Do you think he is a no name player like the other guy? He has developed into a very good player. He hardly sucks like the other guy said.

If Blackmon does slide, hard to see him getting past AZ

There were rumors of an offseason weight gain for Wright, and his forty time at the Combine was slower than anticipated. "Randall Cobb was a lot better," one NFL evaluator said. "Wright is nowhere near as good with the ball in his hands and (Cobb) lasted 'til the back of the second (round). People are getting snookered (by Wright)." Wright managed only four bench-press reps, and Pro Football Weekly reports his body fat was 16 percent. Per PFW, it's "one of the highest percentages for a receiver in the past decade."

Good. Everyone needs to join me on the "Kendall Wright is not that good" bandwagon.

edit: Oh, and everyone talking about the Bears DT situation should probably stop talking, including those that think Henry Melton is one of the best DT's in the NFL. Melton, Paea and Matt Toeaina is a pretty good rotation, certainly not a weakness, but I could easily see them taking Cox or Brockers if they fall. We're not going into the season with only 3 reliable DT's.
