Mafia Game Waiting List

It started with a role that had a unique twist that Cain and I (separately) created, and then they got their hands on it and now the entire game is based around that role concept and it is ******* awesome.

I'm really excited for you guys to play it. All four of us have had a hand in it and we're all nuts excited for it.

After our foursome game, I have a 25ish person game based on historical figures planned. It's going to be closer to a classic game than our foursome game, but still with plenty of twists and new ideas.

It's going to be a bit lighter and funnier than most of my previous games, but still should be very interesting to see play out.

It wouldn't take long for people to see posting patterns. Also I feel like people wouldn't really do this. Although it is a solid idea.

You could set up the forum and usernames yourself, PM out those usernames and just monitor communications perhaps. Would be an interesting exercise.

it's actually mildly tempting to do this. i'm sure i still have my old forum code someplace... i'd think i could create a new 'instance' every time a game is created, so users could create new names every time? hmm...

what information would be useful? post counts? vote records? or is that stuff better left for users to sort through, rather than outright presenting it?

Vote records would be good, I'd leave most things up to the players.

It'd actually be quite fun to do a game on another forum, assign people their usernames and passwords via e-mail, and your "character" in the game is your actual username, so it is revealed as people die who they actually were.

would it be useful to do a % active thing, like "the following players have contributed less than 1% of the total posts" or something, or would that kill SK's trying to sneak under the radar? i've just lost count of the times i forgot someone was playing because they never said anything.

Eh, we basically do the same thing by looking at the post count in the thread. Your idea is easier, though, so yeah, I'd be for it.

Toy Story is done if you could update it! Also, add Cigaro's Community and SP's Friends games as complete so we can keep better track and plan the order of the games without stepping on each other's toes, that would be awesome!
