Osweiler In Round 1 After Pro Day?
http://blogs.nfl.com/2012/03/30/did-...o-first-round/
This could make draft day real interesting and really effect where Tannehill is drafted.

I pity the fool who takes Osweiler in the 1st. I like the guys tools but I wouldn't touch him until the 3rd at the earliest. I just don't think he was a good enough player on the field to even warrant 1st round consideration.

Him and Colt McCoy on the same roster would be hilarious.

The Tom Condon Effect. If you are a qb and you can afford to get on board with CAA why wouldnt you?

<+BOE> Scott, with Burfict's character concerns (whether legit or not) you think Pioli would draft him. :D
<+ScottWright> Why not. Baldwin does need a sparring partner...

You can't draft a QB in the first round purely on spec.

Eight of nine teams surveyed by NFL Network's Charley Casserly call Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler a fourth-round prospect.
NFL.com's Gil Brandt made waves when he said he expected Osweiler to be a first-round pick following his Friday Pro Day, but it appears the sentiment is not shared by a large majority of the league. Casserly said teams were concerned about Osweiler's decision making and accuracy, as well as his tendency to take too many sacks and "questionable instincts." A "couple of scouts" told the Arizona Republic's Kent Somers Friday they could see Osweiler going as early as round two, but it's extremely unlikely he turns himself into a day-one pick.

No way he should be a first round pick and I liked him last year. He made a mistake by not staying for his senior year but with the coaching change I guess it made more sense.
He is raw but has alot of tools but first round is way to early. I would take him in the third as a developmental prospect.

Good to see there's some sanity, but it only takes 1.

Why should a QB needy franchise take a risk on a talented QB prospect late in the first when they can take a risk on a less important position? If teams like the Dolphins and Browns keep avoiding talented QBs, they'll eventually have one fall in their lap. They might have to wait another decade or more, but at least they'll be able to draft lots of WRs, RBs and lineman with the early first round picks they'll have every year.

Personally I think Pro Days are the most useless tools in the evaluation process.

Lam reporters don't know how to scout players. Like every one else I like his tools but he wasn't that great of QB. I'm sure Jacksonville will pick him up .

I still think he gets drafted ahead of where he should. Someone will reach for him in the 2nd round. He really shouldn't be drafted until at least the 3rd round. And I still believe the Browns are one of the teams that will reach for him at #37 or trade back into the 2nd to grab him

Ryan Mallet > Oswell and he was drafted in the 3rd round had every thing minus some off field issues. But he landed on the pats so boring he won't see the field until Brady retires .

Also good to point out that those were NFL teams who made the 4th round comment. We dont need to imply that Casserly knows what he's talking about.

He has a slight chance to maybe go in the late 2nd, but I see him more as a 3rd round QB.

With how overdrafted QB's are becoming, seeing someone trade up into the late first to grab him wouldn't shock me.
