Default Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina

What exactly is causing his rise up the draft boards? Scott doesn't have him in his top 32, but I've seen countless mock drafts with him being drafted in the top-20. Mike Mayock has him top-15, possibly top-10. I know some Bills fans on other boards are falling head over heels for him at 10, and I'm wondering just exactly why?

Here's short review by Mayock on Gilmore and Ingram's/Jeffery's Pro Day

The guys that "watch film" are starting to hear things from the people that actually watch film. The sources are telling them that they have Stephon Gilmore too low.

Maybe it's legitimate info or maybe not. I think he's a second rounder, so I'm leaning towards not.

I have him going to the Bills in my mock at 10. I think Mayock explained it pretty well. He's a tall corner at 6'0 with long arms and a ton of game experience starting since his freshman season in a big time conference. He played QB in high school so he does a good job reading the quarterback and making plays on the ball. No durability questions either. He had a pretty underwhelming junior season, but was great and highly regarded as a freshman and sophomore, has all the tools to be a stud in the NFL.

Sometimes when I watched him he looks very good - others very ordinary. I think the SC coaches wanted more from him, but never quite got it on a consistent basis. I thought 2nd round - but if you don't want to gamble on Jenkins then he might be next up. Is more of an upside type of kid - depends just how you view that kind of prospect I guess.

People say the combine doesn't matter but clearly it does he blows up at the combine and people fall in love. he was a 2nd rounder before a good combine 1st rounder after.

In February I had him ranked 4th behind Claiborne, Kirkpatrick, and Jenkins. I've sinced dropped Kirkpatrick a little but I think at best he's the 3rd CB in this draft and a borderline 1st rounder.

With his size,he'd be a better WLB in a tampa 2 because he'd know what the QB was thinking.

who was this said about? Tim Tebow? Because he's looking more and more like a DE than QB every day.
