Yes they are getting paid a lot of money, but it's not easy work.

That working out IS there job. Its like any other job where you have to crunch numbers, write code, whatever its the job.
Their day is focused around working out, because that is what the job description entails. Some guys don't realize that and just think its still like HS or college, where stuff is optional. They don't realize this is what you do now, its not an option to workout, its a must.

Yes and no. To be the best, yes. These are voluntary programs to many teams. Official "mini-camp" and OTA's hasn't started yet.

well, don't have to be doing it with the team. But you should be putting in the hours now, and not pulling a Jamarcus.

Didn't know Brandon Jacobs was a fullback now, too big to look like a RB with a number in the 40's

Probably his only shot or way to stay on the roster. A big guy like him, if he only wasn't soft, and can throw a block, would be useful.
Not to many FB are great runners(use loosely for Jacobs) and pass catchers, if he can make the transition then its 1 more person to worry about.

Yes. It is their job, at the same time though you always have to be looking over your shoulder because you are competing with the best of the best. If you don't eat right, or you get hurt, or you just don't take care of yourself your career in the NFL starts to fade really quickly.
