I'm not thrilled either. We have two guys in the system with big time gloves at short already(although it's questionable if Iglesias' bat will be good enough for a contending team) so Deven Marrero doesn't make a ton of sense, even if he is a good value. Johnson isn't anything inspiring according to the reports I've read. I would have preferred Gallo there by a lot.

Another very interesting pick by the Red Sox. I like Light, but thought he would be a mid 2nd round type of guy, and thought they would spend here after going with safer signability guys with their firsts.

With the way slotting is setting up now, it's tough to tell. But these picks certainly seem like, "let's be conservative and get future major leaguers, even if they are maxed out as backups."
