Here's what I've got. Note: I don't scout baseball prospects, I just read some of the scouting reports I found online as well as rumors, etc. posted on ESPN, Twitter, etc.
2012 MLB Mock Draft
1. Houston Astros – RHP Mark Appel, Stanford
2. Minnesota Twins – OF Byron Buxton, Appling County HS (GA)
3. Seattle Mariners – SS Carlos Correa, Puerto Rico Baseball Academy
4. Baltimore Orioles – RHP Kevin Gausman, Louisiana St.
5. Kansas City Royals – RHP Kyle Zimmer, San Francisco
6. Chicago Cubs – CF Albert Almora, Mater Academy HS (FL)
7. San Diego Padres – LHP Max Fried, Harvard-Westlake HS (CA)
8. Pittsburgh Pirates – C Mike Zunino, Florida
9. Miami Marlins – LHP Andrew Heaney, Oklahoma St.
10. Colorado Rockies – OF Courtney Hawkins, Carroll HS (TX)

I've been seeing a lot of rumors and mocks with Carlos Correa to the Cubs and I just don't understand it. The Cubs have Castro at SS and drafted Baez at SS in the first round last year. Maybe I don't understand the MLB Draft but grabbing Correa doesn't seem to make sense to me.

It would be a miracle if Correa is a SS at the Major League level. He's a big, stocky kid already. He'll probably move to 3B in the future. I honestly think Correa goes number 3 to Seattle.

Oh, and Keith Law says the Pirates are going to chose David Dahl unless Almora and/or Zunino are on the board.

Baez isn't a SS, Correa isn't either. Both project to be 3B/OF types in the majors.

Position shouldn't matter in the MLB draft, you take BPA almost without hesitation. Guys can be moved around if need be, you just want to hit on the picks. Also, like Hines said, there's a solid or better chance that Correa doesn't stick at SS. He's already 6'4" 190 and won't turn 18 until late September, so he's likely going to move to 3B as he's got a strong enough arm for it.
Baez is also unlikely to stay at SS as he lacks the range for it, and will likely move to 3rd.
I've been reading that the Cubs will take Albert Almora, OF, Florida HS, though, even if Correa is available.
I'm probably going to throw together my top 20 or 30 prospects and then if I get time this evening throw together a quick mock.

Thanks guys. Like I said, I don't know too much about how the MLB Draft works and I am by no means a scout of high school baseball players.

I've seen Gavin Cecchini linked to the Mets in a few places as well as Corey Seager, Courtney Dawkins, and Dahl. Basically, it looks like they're looking at high school hitters.

The Mets have had a ton of names linked to them. Mostly HS bats as you've said, but I've also seen Fried (if he's there) and Wacha a good deal.
But this is what I want more than anything (courtesy of Goldstein):
12. New York Mets ($2.55M): Lucas Giolito, RHP, Harvard-Westlake HS (CA)
Forty-eight hours ago, I would have done a mock without Giolito, but he suddenly has a number of rumored landing spots, beginning with New York, who seem to be definitely at least kicking the tires on the draft's biggest wild card. He's a tough sign here, an even tougher one later, but the Mets are rumored to be making another splash. If they get cold feet today, they could go in a number of directions, all of them high school-based, and in particular Corey Seager, Cecchini and another possible difficult sign in Lance McCullers.

Nah. Also, when your second pick last year is a 22 year old first baseman whose only skill is his bat, and he's now 23 in Low A and hitting like ****, you have draft issues.
