All Conference: Comp Game
BIG10
SEC
Note: Rosters have been changed and an additional CB and WR/TE added to each roster.
Tom Brady and Eli Manning meet again in a big game.
Can the BIG10 OL hold up to the pass rush of the SEC?
Can the BIG10 D handle the skill positions of the SEC?
Will the SEC secondary be exposed if the team can't get any pass rush?
EDIT: Well I forgot to add the poll on this one, unless a Mod can fix it, I'll just have to hand count. My bad guys.

SEC. That would be a slaughter. The Big Ten wouldn't be able to move the ball.

SEC, Eli always beats Brady. Not to mention the far superior running game and and incredible defense.

Big Ten. Tom Brady can make mediocre receivers look good and behind that OL he would have tons of time. Also, at RB there could be Mendenhal, Wells, or Greene. Not too great, but would work. The Big Ten D also looks pretty solid and I think could hold Eli and crew.

i'd throw mendenhall as the big10 rb...
brees could be another candidate for qb.
cameron wake and shaun phillips could be defensive additions as well...

I'd take Tom Brady with that OL against almost any team you could put together.

Beanie Wells running behind that hoss of an oline would beast all over the SEC.
JJ Watt, Suh, Woodley and Tamba Hali would hit home hard and often against Eli.
Honestly, who are the scary pass rushers playing for the SEC?? Charles Johnson?? Neutralized. John Abraham would get his, Seymour assuming he's in his prime would be a threat. But I don't see much interior pass rush coming from the SEC against Nicks/Mangold/Yanda.
Long and Joe Thomas will keep Brady's uni sparkling.
Big 10 has more pass rushers, the only thing that scares me about the SEC is Eli Manning throwing to Mike Wallace and Dwayne Bowe. That could be unstoppable.

Big 10 has a better O-line and D-line. They win.

I can't believe O-lines have become so overrated that Tom Brady with a WORSE group of receivers than in real life is better than Eli throwing to Wallace, Bowe, Johnson and Witten with Foster in the backfield.

Dallas Clark should be swapped for Marion Manningham. And might also want to swap Owen Daniels for Dustin Keller.
I don't really think there's THAT huge of a difference between a corps of Holmes, Lloyd, Manningham and Keller and Bowe, Johnson, Wallace and Witten. Wallace and Witten get a lot of press because of their markets and the fact they play on good teams. Holmes would be waaaaay better with Brady throwing to him, as opposed to Sanchez, Lloyd would (...will) be waaaay better with Brady than with Sam Bradford, and Manningham is just fine as a no. 3; if you're talking about him matching up against Corey Webster, you're fine. We already know what Brady likes to do with his tight ends, and Dustin Keller is a more talented Hernandez, in my opinion.
Bowe's a good receiver, but he's inconsistent. He's not so good as to be indisputably on a different level than, say, Holmes or Lloyd. In fact, I think that's about his level. Pretty much exactly the same with Johnson. Wallace is the one guy that the Big 10 doesn't really have an answer for, but I think you'd basically have to argue that Wallace's presence alone would negate the O/D-line advantage of the Big 10, and I'm just not sure that's true. Witten catches a ton of passes, but I'm really not sure he's more dangerous than Dustin Keller, again considering he'd have Tom Brady throwing to him - he hasn't had a top-flight QB his entire career.

I still think the SEC is missing its best WR. AJ Green.

Big ten has a better O-Line D-Line and QB hard to see them losing.

big10 for me, the only things the sec really has on them is a better defensive backfield and better receiving options.

Owen Daniels is a better receiver than Keller IMO.
Manningham was an option but I wanted to give Brady a two TE set.
None of Mendenhall, Greene, Wells etc. are all that much better than any of the others. So yea we could argue one over the other all day. Originally it was Greene but I went with Wells in this one as he was brought up in some of the other threads.
A.J. Greene is certainly up there but I tried not to include rookies unless they overwhelmingly were better than everyone else (I believe the only two rookies who made a team were Aldon Smith and Tyron Smith)
Lets not get hung up on who made the team; especially in cases where the players are close in talent level.
As far as the game itself, I may be a homer but I'm going Big 10.
I really don't see the argument that Eli has better receivers than he does in NY. Give me Nicks and Cruz over Wallace and Johnson any day. Bowe and Witten are better 3rd and 4th options but I if anything that makes it a wash.
I don't think the DL of the SEC would be able to apply pressure to Brady and it really can't be understated, Brady with that much time would slaughter any secondary.
The only real negative to Brady's receiving core from NE would be the lack of a Gronk like presence. However, we all know what Clark was able to do with Peyton and I doubt he would fall off with Brady.
Daniels is underrated as a WR and while he might be a bit of a downgrade from Hernandez, it wouldn't be by much.
Brady makes Welker who he is and I imagine he would do the same for Holmes who excelled the last time he had a good QB.
Lloyd would similarly prosper with Brady and would (will) likely be a #1 option in NE.
These teams are pretty even but at the end of it all I think the push is in Brady (especially with all that time)
BIG 10
