Default Unique Skills - Who's got them?

Forget the prototypes for a thread. Who's catches absolutely everything? Who can start and go like a jackrabbit? Who is curiously strong? Who is always in the right place at the right time, but might be built like a high school kid?

Post the players you've seen, who others might not have heard of, that do something really, really well. We all know about the high-level guys, the guys who are going to come in and be starters because everyone knows they have a full skillset, but who are the guys who might make a roster purely because there's something about their game that sets them apart?

To make this a little easier, NFL players who might fall into this would be guys like Welker (great hands and quickness, but tiny and doesn't have great long speed - but he's pretty high-profile), maybe a guy like Scott Chandler (not a terrific athlete, but he's 6'7" and suddenly became a jump-ball specialist this last season). The Wayne Chrebets of the world who are just tougher than they ought to be and will go for balls other players won't. Elvis Dumervil, who looks like he should be a fullback, if anything, but plays like a torpedo off the edge. Danny Woodhead, who's too small, but has got the quickness and vision to pick his way through a mess. Etc. Those guys went in rounds (undrafted), four, (undrafted), (undrafted), and four, respectively.

In this time of uncertainty with regards to my future in the fake universe and bringing the populus to enlightenment. I can give you one player of truth.

One proletariat lacking the modern day prima donnaism's of most is Keith Pough of Howard. A true bolshevik, only for specials. will perform his art the next 10 years. Beliczek shall select him in round 6.

Not a word that usually associated with the position but Sheldon Richardson might be the fastest DT I've ever seen.

I wouldn't call Chandler a jump ball specialist. He simply got open for his scores. The offense was great at setting guys up to get open like that in the red zone during our successful period last season. Little surprise his touchdowns were nonexistent in the second half of the year, though a couple of them came from simply abusing a linebacker in coverage.

Haha, no, you exposed the fact that I don't watch Bills games and know that he's tall. I thought I remembered him high-pointing a few balls at the beginning of last season, though, which is what made me mention him.

Quinton Coples supposedly has unusual stamina for the ladies out there.

Uuuuum...special attributes...hmm...Mark Barron has top of the top of the line instincts amongst safeties...Yeah, I don't know...the two I said are true to me, but yeah.

One guy from Stanford that comes to mind in TE Lavine Toilolo. He was the #3 TE last year but saw a ton of action. He is solid all around and has some drops, but his 6'8" height is unique. Not great hops but at 6'8" its hard to match up with him especially in the redzone. We'd try one or 2 of these jump balls in the redzone a game but it never was the weapon it should have been. I expect to see him make a larger impact next year with Fleener moving on.

Tyrann Mathieu's ability to strip the ball is otherworldly.

Good call. Dude's a monster in the redzone. He might be my favorite TE in the draft heading into the season. Plus, his last name is really, really fun to say. Toilolo. Toilolo. Toilolo.

I see your Toilolo and raise you a Joseph Fauria.

Eifert looks like an excellent athlete at TE as well...and big fan of Williams from Alabama as well since he's like an extra OLman who can catch a pass once in a while.
