This is just awful

With one second remaining in the match, Heidemann needed to score a touch on Shin to win the match. (Shin would have advanced if they finished the round tied.) The clock then got stuck, allowing Heidemann several extra seconds to score, which she did. Officials then congregated for a long time discussing their options before finally awarding the win (and a chance at the gold medal) to the German.

Wasn't the guy from South Korea in I think the 400M freestyle, and he easily won his heat, but they tried to DQ him on the start? That was some BS too. What's with all the South Korea hate?

Yup, he ended up getting silver.
Still, the man is trying to keep the South Koreans down!

The clock "got stuck" at one second, allowing the other guy several seconds to win? How does that even happen?

It's all about calibration. Just ask Dean Lombardi.

Lochte definitely hasn't had a breakout olympics despite already having a Gold and Silver. He gets extremely tight at finishes which was the magic about Phelps.

I really have a problem with his body frame. He just seems too small. All these guys he's competing against are huge with huge wingspans. Just seems like they eat him up down the stretch with their longer stroke.
Also, i'm so done with NBC's coverage. They've completely butchered the fun of the Olympics with this failjob of tape delays. Just earlier they aired one of the Americans' gold medal reception BEFORE they aired the actual final..

I definitely suggest getting access to BBC's coverage(it is technically unavailable outside of the UK, but there is an extremely simple solution). You will be able to get good quality streaming plus replays whenever you want. I also kind of prefer the British broadcasters for both their quality and more international focus(for instance, not so much dialogue devoted to how the American team is doing in a competition for instance).

In my experience, BBC coverage is better at almost everything.

Also, apparently NBC cut out a tribute to terrorism victims from the American broadcast, because it wasn't tailored for the American audience. The ****? What part of the London Olympics Opening Ceremony was tailored for the American audience?
Whenever their contract is up for renegotiation, dear God I hope the Olympic Committee finds someone else to handle the American broadcast.

The gymnastics coverage was a cluster ****. They only showed half of the US routines. They didn't show a single gymnast doing the rings and only showed one on the high bar. And a few times they didn't even show the scores for some of the routines. What makes it worse is that NBC has the American broadcasting right for the next four Olympics at least.

Yikes, I have the Olympics on like four channels here haha. I just rotate through them and watch whatever I prefer at the time.
