Preseason Week 4 Discussion
Final week of the preseason, games are only on Wednesday and Thursday. Final roster cut down is on Friday then.
Expect to see the starters very little, if at all this week.
It also sucks that the only nationally televised games will be on NFL Network.

Coach of the Week
Tampa Bay coach Greg Schiano. In the span of a month, without top pass rushers Adrian Clayborn, Gerald McCoy, and Da’Quan Bowers, Schiano and defensive coordinator Bill Sheridan have put a tough stamp on their defense. On Friday night, Tom Brady and one of the NFL’s best offenses had the ball nine times. Five times Brady went three-and-out; once four-and-out. He had two long touchdown drives. By the time Ryan Mallett came in to replace Brady, the Bucs led 30-14.

That's good but, you know what I'm going to say here....
It's only the preseason. While it's preferable to look good than bad, when you take the field for that week 1 game, none of this will matter. The Lions went 4-0 in the preseason the year they went 0-16. The 49ers went 0-4 last season, ending up 13-3. The Colts, the year they won the Superbowl, went 0-4 in the preseason that year.

So, as John Skelton and Kevin Kolb battle for the Arizona starting QB job in, what has to be the least impressive QB competition since Grossman v. Beck last year, it only makes sense that the competition comes down to the final preseason game, right?
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...hursday-night/
Nope. Neither will play. Ryan Lindley gets the start.

Jets need to pull off that MJD trade and find a tall physical receiver, maybe even TO. I don't think Stephen Hill will make that big an impact his first year; maybe in a year or two.

Wouldn't it make more sense to just bring back Plaxico in that case?
TO just isn't that good anymore. Plaxico is still a capable WR in the league.

Its going to be really a competitive atmosphere across the leagues. Jobs will be won and lost, futures will be decided. So tense.

If I were to coaches, I'd play both Skelton and Kolb, hope one of them gets hurt behind that horrible offensive line. That way, the decision of which crappy quarterback to start is made for me.

The Bucs defense played lights out against the Tom Bradys. Better than any Bucs defense has played in some time. Yes, it was preseason, but that was against the Patriots’ No. 1 offense. I am very optiism.

Austin Davis and Chandler Harnish. Looking forward to the continued progressions of these two.

The rams lost in that trade. I bash Jason Smith a lot but he is better than Hunter.
